MLB will only agree to the sale of the Astros if new owner agrees to move team to American League.

Wouldn't you think that MLB would want to keep one team National (Astros) and one team American (Rangers) in the state?

I don't see what's gained from moving the Astros to the American League.

How many people remember what the Houston Astros were originally called when they entered the league in 1962?

It evens out both leagues and forces at least one interleague game every day. Goodbye to the four team AL west and the six team NL central. I don't have a problem with this at all.

Now if only the MLB could find a way to even up the competition and put all teams on an equal playing field.
