And by the way guys, Detroit is getting MUCH MUCH better as a city, they are doing a great job at making the city nicer. Don't get me wrong, there is a long way to go, but it's much improved over the last 5 years. I work downtown, and we'll walk around town to go to lunch sometimes, it's remarkably better than even 5 years ago.

If anyone is going to be in town for the game there are a lot of good places to eat right around the stadium. My favorite right now might be Red Smoke in Greektown, which is only a few blocks south from Ford Field, great BBQ, get the pulled pork sandwich and use the Red Smoke sauce (there are I think 5 different kinds on the table) you won't regret it.

Besides that, just walk around in that same area and you'll find something good.

Detroit & Chicago actually have some good BBQ joints. The sauce in my experience is kind of a mix between the Carolinas & Missouri.

And a word of advice to those of you who will be there, root for the Panthers all you want, but whatever you do, DO NOT TAUNT THE FANS!!!!!!

I'm serious, if we get a big play, yell and scream, but don't start looking around at the fans with your arms out and goading them, YOU WILL GET SOMETHING THROWN AT YOU!!!!

Now I've only been to I think 2 games at Ford Field, but I remember back at the Silverdome, it was a risk just to wear the opposing teams colors, it's not that bad now, but you can't taunt the fans or someone there is going to start something with you without a doubt.

I'll put it this way, I have a buddy of mine who goes to maybe half the home games every year, so he sees a lot, it took me about 3 months to convince him to go to the game with me because he didn't want to get hit with anything thrown at me.

Honestly not a clue for what the best parking is downtown for football games. I'm parking in the garage I use for work and walking. There are plenty of lots to park, but I never know which ones to trust your car in, and they cost an arm and a leg.
