Foxy: "If we were trying to run a regular offense, he’d be screwed"

Denver has all the dynamics to turn into one of the best dramatic stories in recent memory..

A coach who doesn't give a fug and feels compelled to throw his QB under the bus, a QB who has a huge chip on his shoulder towards people who think he can't QB and his coach is leading that charge, a venomous and often irrational, knee-jerk fanbase who is extremely volatile...

when this team starts losing a lot of games, set your DVR's to record...

It's a lose lose for foxy with some of you guys.... Weeks ago he says we are going to go with our regular offense, you say... foxy being stubburn, The Golden Calf of Bristol needs a coach to build a offense around him that suits his style....

then Foxy adjusts, says we are going to run a offense that works best for him since that other crap clearly isn't the answer, and you say he is throwing him under the bus...

Smh, for some of you know matter what he does it will be twisted in a negative way... I believe if one day he wins a superbowl I PROMISE a lot of people will say they won in spite of his coaching... no matter the situation.

my bad... a coach saying his QB is screwed running a traditional offense isn't throwing his QB under the bus when he could have said "it is what it is" instead..

you'd think Panther fans knew the difference...

let me put it this way, if "theyhateme" had to post a rational thought, he'd be screwed.. but hey, don't think I'm throwing you under the bus. damned if I do, damned if I don't.. awe shucks, don't hate me. ;)

he won't win a Superbowl. fans will never have to eat crow, the possibility doesn't exist.

I really like John Fox. I liked him here when he was in Carolina, and I like him now when he is coaching the Broncos. I know about 95% of people in this forum will disagree with me but damn i think we lost a great coach. The last years he was here he had no support from the FO our from the "players" they put on the field. Not his fault everyone in this organization quit on him.

that's just bullshit.. if you had half a clue about the 2008 and 2009 season, you would feel ignorant typing that poo..

Fox had the carpet pulled out from under him in 2010.. reason being? he was given free reign and a blank check to make the playoffs consecutively and was fired for failing to do so..

I won't say Fox doesn't give a damn. It Tim wasn't winning he wouldn't be playing.

What I have to say is, you must give credit to Fox and the other trainers for bucking the system and realizing that Tim will never be a conventional QB and isn't trying to put him into the round hole, so to speak. They made the necessary adjustments to help him and it has worked so far.

What fustrates me about the Panthers is, week in and out, they seem to go out and make the same stupid mistakes and get penalized left right and center. The defense give away the game. The offense have to come out and dig themselves out of a hole either created by themselves or a defense and special team who seems like they are ALWAYS playing for the other team.

And all u keep hearing from many on here is all the excuses about the defense's injuries and who on the offense lost the game for the team. And u wonder why the Broncos are winning.

Seems pretty basic Thursday nght but I think the Jets have better talent on D than the Donkeys do on O so it could get ugly for Denver.

Also, those candid comments from Foxy, that's like more than we heard his entire run in Carolina.

The Richardson effect?

I thought Denver showed a hell of a lot more toughness on Defense last night than I have seen from a Panther team all season. They hit and tackle a hell of a lot better than we do. Hate on Fox all you want but we wouldn't be as soft on D as we are if he were still here. We wouldn't be as dynamic on offense either but would probably have more than 2 wins.

If The Golden Calf of Bristol is allowed to have a whole offense changed in mid-season to fit him, still can stink it up for 3 1/2 quarters throwing wildly inaccurate passes, but eek out a win and get credit for it ... Terrelle Pryor better get a shot somewhere in the near future

The Golden Calf of Bristol IS a winner...no doubt.

The Golden Calf of Bristol IS a great athlete.

The Golden Calf of Bristol IS faster than I thought he was.

However, there has NEVER been a starting QB in the NFL who has less passing ability than The Golden Calf of Bristol.

This is a gimick offense. Short term success....but will be killed shortly. It is much like the Wildcat where Miami had great success. A little bit of game tape and it is easily stopped.

The Golden Calf of Bristol is having his day....but will be done in a season.

all I read there was Fox was a good coach.. did anyone say he sucks? if so, they would be wrong.

Fox won't win a Superbowl. he makes bad teams average and great teams decent.. he never steps his game up. year in and year out, we have witnessed John Fox football.

not one person should be mad we moved on and not one person should say he sucks.

let's stick to the topic at hand. ;)
