I think everyone who still isn't convinced about our need about OT will be after this Sunday.

eh, Lions are a pretty standard 4 man rush. Bell will know what is coming. He is spotty but has done a good job at times with tougher pressure schemes.

Pressure up the gut will be the issue....they are the ones who will try to set up the guys Bell/Gross are blocking.

Oh, yes. I remember you. You were the guy that crowned Byron Bell the second coming a couple weeks ago.

wrong guy. I am the one who defended Otah and called people crack heads wanting to cut him.

I can acknowledge when Bell has his moments.....he just has them basically in both extremes. Bell's worst game was Tenn though....and they were bringing 4 and 3 when he had issues.

No they don't. Not at this point in his contract. Get a starting caliber RT...he goes down next year and instead of Bell like player you have Otah. Can't have too much depth with a QB like Cam on your roster.

I do think the Auburn kid deserves a shot. Not sure why they are going w/ the undrafted kid still w/o looking at the other option.

Nice post. It was a little confusing because you used WE to describe the Lions and then OUR to describe the Panthers, but other than that, good insight. Hopefully we treat Megatron like other teams treat Smitty. Take him out of the game and everything else is a non-factor.

Ziemba played a few weeks ago and was horrid. That's why he doesn't get any playing time. Like what I've seen from Bell. He'll continue to develop, and allow us to trade down come the draft next year.

The problem with that is what if he dont develop? Then we have a need at RT.

And you can say that about all our big need positions. We have a lot of raw talent on our roster but we are a bad football team. Why would you draft a DT when you have some young talent in Fua and McClain who could develop into stars. Why would you take a CB when you have Butler and Hogan who could develop into stars. And so on.

We need som talent who can produce right know and not someone we hope can develop into something like Bell, Fua, McClain, Hogan, Butler. If you get the chance to take someone like Kalil he can go in and start and produce right away and you have your QB and LT for the furture.

      I mean that’s not an argument I go with… But in ACC play, both Clemson and SMU covered the spread more than Miami.  Miami didn’t cover in 3 games.
