the guys i listed would be claimed immediately if we released them

the only questionable one is hardy because of his run defense but he's shown he can effectively rush the passer. anderson, meh he's alright, kinda like Gantt says "just another guy" but you're not going to have a star at every position so I'm fine with that.

Agreed Anderson fit's with Beason and Davis...But as the leader of 6 practice squad linebackers...Not happenin

I love CJ he's just to small to become a takeover player he gets washed up on the run occasionally...He's a good player no offense but hes just always going to be "good"...Hardy is a rotation guy on a competitive team

there is only one or two ways to post something so wrong, and that's to never have watched a Panthers game this season or are completely drunk throughout the game...

unfortunately, it's missing a solid interior linemen which is probably the most important piece.

which is why I will cry for days if we draft another damn LB'er with the first pick

I definitely wouldn't mind us grabbing a big time DT early on, but it's still very possible that prospect will take 2 or 3 years to develop.

People bitching at threads being made are worse than the threads themselves...

I don't think its a stretch to say we thought the talent we had would be enough for this season. You can't just draft two DTs and expect a fix. It takes some time and the game is won in the trenches.

Is it a "stretch" to think if you lose 3 starter all being very important. It might not be enough.

They didn't "JUST" draft 2 DT they also brought a vet in. Did you forget Ron edwards or choose not to bring this up to make this thread seem relavent???

Who knows who is going to be out there in April at our pick but honestly don't be surprised if we do just that. Our system is predicated on great linebacker play and without it we are simply average at best. With Edwards coming off IR next year and Fua in his second year, NT won't be a big issue. We will need a great LB at Sam to replace Davis and the best place to get one is in the draft.

you make good points man its just this is kind of expected. Losing so many key players its true that our D is going to struggle. Its just that everyone is making either hate or panic threads and its kinda dumb. This is what we all expected pretty much at the beginning of the season. Its just too soon with all of this hate. Such a little time frame for this team to gell before the season... give Rivera another year or two and i could not blame anyone for bein pissed. But now we all have to sit back and let the process play out. The truth is this team will be f*ckin awesome pretty soon. Just give it a litte time. Sorry if i make stupid comments too. Lol

You're right, there is Ron Edwards. I was trying to point out the importance of depth, not neglecting the talent we already have.

Not trying to get in some pissing match bud ;)

      I mean that’s not an argument I go with… But in ACC play, both Clemson and SMU covered the spread more than Miami.  Miami didn’t cover in 3 games.
