You guys kill me.

The same people on here bashing Jake (with a winning record, great results in big games, excellent post season record......want Cutler (QB with a 17-20 record, unable to get the Broncos in the playoffs in the weak-ass AFC West Division, and is a whiny little bitch).

Change is fine....but this knee jerk change for no other reason is pathetic.

Cutler is not an upgrade over Jake....his only upside is he is younger.

I would be all over replacing Jake with a top-tier QB....not replacing him with Cutler.

Enough with the record. Broncos have no defense, had to bring running backs in from the gym. The only reason they did win less than 4 games is because of Jay. Insert a guy with physical tools like Cutler into our QB position, it would probably work. I can't say definitely, but most likely an upgrade from Jake.

And also, Jakes playoff record isn't excellent. It WAS excellent, until he played 2 terrible games knocking us out.

My reasons for saying this has nothing to do with hurney and Jake to a extent, there are other teams that can offer more for cutler then us, that also have a bigger need for him then us, I've seen these topics about every other year since I've been here and it's always the same wishful thinking fans that let they're hopes get in the way of reality, fact is as much crap as Jake gets around here he's not as bad as the Jake haters think he is, there was a large amount of fans that were pissed that he didn't get Come back player of the year before the Cardinals game, now was it a bad game yes? was that Jakes worse season since he's been here? yes, but what did you expect from someone coming back from Tommy John surgery?

Too much I'd say, Jake right now is good enough to get the job done whether you want to admit it or not and that is why the Panthers want him to stay, they are going to replace him eventually but right now the QB position is behind DE, DT and CB before we need to start worrying about QB, and that is why the Cutler trade wont happen, we don't need a QB bad enough to do the trade ourselves. we need picks or or high quality DLmen the former the broncos will not want to trade and the later they don't have so it's not going to happen.

i agree with everything your saying here. if we didnt have such big needs on defense and if the asking price for cutler was alot lower id be willing to give they guy a shot here. but right now just isnt the right time to be goin after a QB

I think that over the past 2 seasons (more this past season), that Fox and Hurney are doing some outside the box things in order to make this team better. We cut veterans we had been overly loyal to, and did some major finagling on draft day to get the players we wanted. And it worked.

Im not saying there is any fuel to this fire, but I wouldn't count it out completely. The only wild card is if Julius would play there. I still say we should sniff around, if for nothing more than to increase our asking price on Julius, like was said before.

Just as an aside, I think Peppers is actually an Eagle when it's all said and done.

i agree fox has been going out of the box lately and i think people will be suprised at what happens at this years draft..

ima have to disagree with you about his playoff record this is a list of the top 12 nfl playoff qbs

http://theloveofsports.com/2009/01/31/top-12-nfl-playoff-qbs/

in 05 it was a miracle the panthers got as far as they did. they were down to there 4th string rb. against arizona he had a horrible game. but its not like hes the only qb to have a bad playoff game. if i remember right in 03 peyton manning threw 3 or 4 ints in AFC championship game

and another point about cutler. the broncos lost the biggest lead ever in a division and didnt even make the playoffs this past season. so if you give him all the credit for success you gotta give him all the blame for failure

you have to admit you saw this coming after the Cutler news broke, too bad for them it will never happen, that's right people it's not going to happen, so please quit it with the threads.

No way man we could just trade our running backs, our QBs,Peppers and anything else they want for Cutler then BAM were in the SB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wooooooooooooooooot

yes.

let's completely ignore the 450+ average points allowed defense the Broncos have had the past two years. that doesn't factor in at all when comparing QB win/loss record.

that's why Fireball says judging a QB by his W/L record makes no sense.

And got blown-out by the Raiders to boot.

Cutler is a younger Delhomme. Would I take him over Delhomme straight up.....maybe. However, there were people here suggestign we should give Peppers and Delhomme for Cutler. Those people are clueless.

Well, if QB stats are the way you want to evaluate your QB...instead of leading his teams to wins.......I suggest you move on down to New Orleans and cheer for the Saints. They love stats there to prove things.

One stat matters to me......Wins.

Ok so by your analysis, Kyle Orton is one of the better QBs in the league because of his winning percentage, and so is Vince Young and Rex Grossman.

QUIZ TIME!!!

Which of the following statements is true?

A. Kyle Orton > Jay Cutler

B. Rex Grossman > Jay Cutler

C. Vince Young > Jay Cutler

D. None of the above.

jake does not have a weak arm....he won the distance competition a couple of years ago. His strength is fine....accuracy is where he struggles some.

Again, I would prob take Cutler over Jake....however, I would not give up Jake and Peppers to Cutler. Price is way too high.
