Titans say they got in Newton's head

I just dont see how that effected him at all. Defenders are supposed to bounce off his swag.

first down is usally a 50/50 down.could pass or run so it seems the harder of the downs to sack on.

but i could be grasping at straws. not the first time. :smash:

I think as I have said they were game planning Chud just as much as Cam. They knew Chud leans on the pass way too much and they sent the house on a lot of plays. Lots of balls bounced right off Olsen and Stewarts hands as well. Just a very frustrating day all around and we caught no breaks.

I was wondering how much input Tracy Rocker (D-line coach for Titans & Auburn's D-line coach last year) had. If anyone in the NFL knows how to get to Cam...he would. I was thinking about that before the game and it looked like there might be something to it.

I noted that in a thread prior to the game.

I was told I was being ridiculous and silly. :D

Cam was missing WR's all over the field yesterday as well. His accruacy was terrible.

no one on the team played well....it was one of those games where everythign went wrong.

Was that during warmups?

I saw several (easy) passes get bobbled and dropped. From the stands, it looked like one hit Olsen in the chest, but I didn't see it on the broadcast. I saw Cam leading the receivers away from defenders. There were a few that were high. But his accuracy wasn't terrible.

I think this pretty much explains it:

With just under five minutes gone in the third quarter Newton completed a 3rd and 22 pass to Steve Smith for a 13 yard gain. The offensive line failed to give Cam adequate protection for much of the game, and after being knocked down again Newton refused the help from his linemen in getting up as he sullenly left the field despite an unresolved penalty flag laying on the Bank of America Stadium turf. Last week on an inferior site radio we had a round-table on what Cam's best moment of 2011 has been, but for me this one moment was his absolute worst. If we're going to be hyper-critical of other players on this team then the lens needs to be turned on Newton at times also, and his behavior here was unacceptable. I completely get his competitive fire, and as it's been stated time and time again that is what will ultimately get the Panthers to the promised land, however with just over 10 minutes left in the third Newton's fire jumped the shark and became petulant pouting.

Dude turns to trash when losing or in the 4th quarter when the pressure is on. He needs to get his head straight. And Rivera's a wuss. I would have benched him for an act like that. Grow the hell up.
