Titans say they got in Newton's head

Shocking here, but there's a lot of over-reaction going on here. Sometimes you just get out played, period. The wind was taken out of our sails a bit with the PR for TD, but then we came right back and drove the field and were about to score when Olsen fumbled. After that, we lost all momentum and got far behind and their D line absolutely destroyed our O line... no we didn't play well, but it happens.

Bad O line play, horrible penalties and the fact that they had Cam running for his life half the time on top of pretty good coverage, they just flat beat us.

Sorry... you guys continue on with the ranting...

Pretty much.

Yeah, it sucks, but it happens. Every rebuilding year has a low point. This one is probably ours, but objectively an even lower one could be down the road.

The titans suck and are going nowhere. I hope they enjoyed their win. Hasselbeck wasn't any good yesterday - he threw about 3 screen passes that could have been intercepted at the line. They way overpaid for CJ who has done next to nothing this year and they lost to Luke mcclown in week 1. If we had a special teams unit and Olsen and Bell hadn't decided to play in full retard mode yesterday's game could have been much different.

They didn't get into his head, as much as Newton's receivers got into his head with all those dropped passes.

Cam was missing WR's all over the field yesterday as well. His accruacy was terrible.

no one on the team played well....it was one of those games where everythign went wrong.

I think the main reason the board imploded and things are so negative is because, unlike all our other losses, there weren't any good things to take away from this game. Everyone played terribly.

Maybe that's a good thing, I'm tired of losing, but still feeling OK about it as a "moral victory". I hope everyone takes their own share of the blame, and fixes what needs to be fixed (damn near everything).

It was pointed out on Cat Scratch Reader that Tennessee easily picked up on Chud's tendency to throw on 1st down frequently and brought the blitz on 1st down almost as frequently, often resulting in a loss of yardage or (at best for the Panthers) no gain.

Ergo, 2nd and long and 3rd and long for much of the game. Not a formula for success. Add on to that some poorly thrown balls, some well thrown balls that were dropped, some caught ball that were fumbled... DISASTER.

f*ck them, they didn't shut him down, Chud did.

You want their formula?

Pressure on 1st cause a huge loss, 2nd we usually ran and they blitzed 1 or 2 extra guys, 3rd drop everyone into coverage and pressure with just the DL.

They did it almost every possession and we made no adjustments.

:iagree: this
