Oh....sorry..this thread isn't about Jake Delhomme it's about "you know who"

lmao at 55

P55 has demonstrated repeatedly that he has more real football knowledge in his sleep than you have on your best day.

The crux of your whole argument is "Jake had a bad game and I never liked him anyway".

well then that there says a lot about you...frankly Scot, I'm disappointed.

and as far as the argument goes, what is yours?

jake had a bad day and he took us to the superbowl?

that seems to be everybody else's here.

Don't belittle what you are doing yourself Mr. Scot. It may sound good but it makes you look real dumb.

Thanks for the support. As you can see, Crolls has now further degraded the conversation from personal attacks on Jake to personal attacks on folks who support Jake. In the end the majority of folks on here are pretty knowledgeable about football and can separate the wheat from the chaff. Folks who consistently take the low road are easily spotted and exposed for the fraud they are.

The same 5 people support Jake, and the other 5 don't, neither one is speaking for the Majority no matter what you may be trying to convince yourself.

Overly supporting players on your favorite team, on board dedicated to that team, doesn't make you right or know more about football. That's easy to do.

In my area I can't find a single person who thinks highly of Jake(myself included).

I'm sure everyone around you loves Jake to death, therefore that's the norm to you.

"You are what your numbers say you are"-yea I bet, you were probably the front-runner for Fox's 'stats are for losers' on here.

Take out guys that have less than 40 starts (Which is 2 1/2 full regular seasons), and Jake goes even higher up the list. I'm a Panthers fan first and foremost, and have no bias on hating Jake or holding his jock either way. Whatever the FO thinks is best for the organization, I will go with that. I will trust their instincts and football knowledge. This same front office plucked Jake from NO (and say what you want about him now, great move at the time at least), drafted Beason, Gamble, Davis, Williams, Gross, Otah, Stewart, Smith....

Bottom line I guess is that if they want to move on Cutler, I'll trust that. Should they pass, I'll trust that too. And watch any post-game interview with ANY NFL player, and they will say it's all about the W. Period. So say what you want about Jake, but the man knows how to win games (yes, and lose them too).

Jake isn't going to go immediately, I think most people just aren't sold or comfortable with the 'replacement' or lack thereof that we have on our roster.

Carr was a blunder, but at least it was an attempt, and that is what I am fine with.(the attempts not Carr)

See you have to try, and yes you are going to fail sometimes, but you have to do those things to land the good QB's.

It's higher then that now, his winning Percentage is .630 now counting last season.

It is easy to that the Carolina staff has drafted some good players and drafted some bums. I think they are above average when it comes to the roster decisions. The QB situation is completely different though. As far as the QB goes, they are not looking for best player available. They are looking for max value from minimum risk and building a team around him to absorb his deficiencies. They are building an atmosphere for a hero, an overachiever if you will and at the same time they are building an atmosphere that makes us stomach reality, give him a pass, and make an excuse for him when he blows a play or a game. We are supposed to praise everything positive and accept everything negative. We are being force-fed this blue-collar, everyman with his heart on his sleeve bullshit and the gimic of Jake Delhomme is just old.

It's genious from the FO perspective but it does not fly with many of us who have seen the rest of the team build into something great and are ready for the last step to be made. Jake is getting us through years of building this and building that in a way. But he is not going to get us over the top. I just don't have faith in that at all.

I do agree with that. I also feel that they need to start looking into Jake's eventual replacement, as he is in his twilight years for his career. If they don't think that person is currently on the roster, they need to make a move. I personally really wish when Jake went down 2 years ago, and the Carr(wreck) experiment failed after a few games, that we could've seen Moore for more than just 3 games, but oh well.

I know the Panther's like to build through the draft and don't like rookie QB's, so that is one thing Cutler has going for him. He's established and showed he can play in the NFL, but still has many years left in the tank. However, he is kind of a whiny bitch, and who likes that? I just want to see someone (anyone) that can hit Smitty in stride for once, before Smitty's speed is gone and he relies solely on good route running and hands to stay elite. :banghead:
