When does the blame start landing on Rivera

The Panthers were ill-prepared and just looked lost today. We all can see Cam Newton is a gamer and a star QB. But after a bye week, with a team as mediocre as the Titans, the Panthers came out and looked like everyone thought they would at the beginning of the season.

When does the blame start landing on the coach? I wholly blame the coaching staff for this loss. The Titans looked ready to play, prepared with a gameplan to counter what the Panthers did. Nothing worked. Halftime adjustments, were there any? This looked like the 2010 Panthers. No improvement. I'm seriously dissapointed and wondering if Rivera is the right coach for this team.

You can blame the coach after the 1st 2 seasons. for now hes safe.

Fox ain't looking too bad now is he? Maybe next time you yuck mouths will think twice before running the only HC to take this team to a superbowl out of town.

no one in their right mind misses Fox.. games like today happen all the time under his watch.

and if Rivera follows the same routine, he'll get canned too..

Lol, I got chewed out when I started a thread a few weeks ago calling Rivera out on this teams lack of discipline when it came to penalties. Funny how people change their minds so quickly.

Nah, people will still insult you for saying such things.

Its way too early to start hearing this BS from you doubters. Yes there is a problem but until today we have had good showings on offense. The defense won't be right until the injuries stop and RR gets the players he wants. No one expected much from this season anyway so give it time for crying out loud. I am upset too but we are still playing with Foxes team.

as bad as he was, he's the best coach this team has had

and yes, I'm glad he's gone and they tried to improve.....but that doesn't mean Rivera is a good coach either

Only time will tell.

Watching Harbaugh take a terrible SF team and light the NFL up makes me sad

SF was supposed to be good for the last 2 years due to talent but fell way short. Harbaugh is a good coach that has a good team. Besides, he wouldn't have came here anyway. Its well known that he wanted on be on the west coast.

That would be JR & Hurney's fault then. They knew a year in advance that he would be gone. Don't give them a free pass on their primary responsibility on these matters; Fox should not be the scapegoat...it's Hurney's job.

here's the thing and I know a lot of people are thinking this as well.

I never expected this team to make the playoffs before the season. However I wanted to see a better team later on in the season playing with more consistency and better competency in handling individual assignments than I did in September. Right now I think we're worse than we were in September. This team looks like it needs help everywhere which is a very bad sign and not encouraging for 2012.

The moment that really got me was when Charles Johnson, a veteran and star DE on this team, had a nasty personal foul for shoving his hands in the face of a Titans player. Rivera calmly ushered him aside on the sideline and said something to him. That's a situation where the coach should be livid. These penalties are from a lack of discipline and Rivera doesn't seem to be delivering.

I think Rivera showed Johnson discipline.

A good team is created by having a good coach. Billechick has won SBs with the talent level of our team.

Really? Until recently the Pats offense has been ridiculously awesome. Their defense has always been just so-so but still way better than ours this season. Theres no way you can compare our team of today to the Pats of their SB runs of the last 10 years.

I'm just trying to chill everyone out. We can't start head hunting yet. Will RR be a great coach for us? I don't know but we can't freak out just yet.
