When does the blame start landing on Rivera

*for Pro-Bowler (second alternates included)

Any offense with Steve Smith*, Deangelo Williams*+Jonathan Stewart, Greg Olsen*, Ryan Kalil*+Jordan Gross* and rookie phenom CAM NEWTON

should not only put up 3 points against any team.

to those who didn't see this game coming at some point this year, joke is on you..

we've had dozens of them over the last decade, I'll be glad if this is the only game like this we see..

This thread is laughable

Come back to me when we've had a full offseason and he's had more than 1 season as a HC.

If it were up to you people we'd have 5 HCS and 4 QBS per season.

Once again. Lol at this thread

agreed...but

The team should not come out looking as bad as they did today. I understand the other team wants to win too, but two weeks to prepare and this is what we get? All on Rivera.

Addressing that a coach isn't doing well isn't saying he needs to go

Coaches can change, improve, and experience speed bumps just like players

But if it made ya laugh that's cool or whatever

Justifying losing is the voice of a loser.

I remember saying along time ago that people need to adjust their expectations. Could we (should we?) have a better record? Damn right. But we Don't. That isn't all on the coach though. Its common sense that the coach takes some blame, but not taking a step back and looking at the TEAM as a whole is a mistake.

Do we have some really talented players? yea. Do we also have some young, inexperience players that wouldn't be starting on 75% of NFL rosters. yea. You don't win alot of game with a few key players. You need a full TEAM. We don't have one yet.

OK so saying Im wondering if Rivera is even right for this team doesn't have any semblance of saying he needs to go? I forgot how well versed you all are in coaching methods and knowing who is right for what.

this reminds me why I never come on here until tuesday.

hep, when did I ever say I was justifying the loss? Just don't think the entire blame goes on the coaches. Yes, it was partly their fault for not making the correct adjustments, but I in no way place the entire blame on them. In fact, when was it just cool to provide a scapegoat for the entire game? Its not like Rivera missed a game winning FG or anything.

If anyone is justifying anything, its you, for placing the blame completely in one place.

And no way we should have lost 30-3 to the Titans, inexcusable. But taking leaps and bounds to Rivera being a horrible head coach are premature.

I get that we should be pissed off after a loss (trust, pissed doesn't describe my mood), but losing turns this place into a hell hole/ psych ward.

It's actually fine and this isn't some knee jerk reaction in light of just today's game. In my opinion, he's not doing well. That's all. I'm not trying to get in a football knowledge debate because I know I'm not some all knowing snarky asshole.

"I forgot how well versed you all are in coaching methods and knowing who is right for what"...really Boo? I'm a fan so yeah, of course my opinion is poo as clearly expressed in your post.

I'm saying he needs to improve within a given time frame or yeah, can his ass. He hasn't done a good job this season and that's reality. We're 2-7 with the 5th ranked offense in the NFL. Its like 2000 again. I think its reasonable given our history with coaches and JRs style to give him at the least all of next season.

I don't completely agree with SMF or Hep, but they make valid points and its evident on the field

edit: And I'm not an idiot (well, that can be disputed), but I understand its a team effort. Olsen, Chud, Cam, Rivera, Gross, almost everyone under-performed and were ill-prepared

Yeah. JR needs to have a serious talk with him. Rivera needs to do some soul-searching & reading, video-watching, etc. during the off-season to get better.

He also needs to direct his anger at players who screw up instead of the refs...it makes him look weak & like the label 'players-coach' (in the bad sense).

JR screwed up not interviewing Harbaugh who turned a losing team to a winning team (6-10) without an influx of talent. Esp. not to the level of us getting Cam.

Just sayin..., you give him 9 games and all of the sudden he is the one that all the blame is put on?

I mean....just as a comparison...how long did we give Fox? Inconsistent like a motherfuger and you didn't seem him outta here after 3-4 years even.
