When does the blame start landing on Rivera

And a fully healthy team...oh n/m we are the Panthers...

I definitely blame him for the loss today, not that we lost but that we looked bad doing it.

Agree the loss is on Rivera for today, even great coaches can be responsible for a bad loss here and there. I hope he steps up and coaches his ass off because we definitely need it.

The moment that really got me was when Charles Johnson, a veteran and star DE on this team, had a nasty personal foul for shoving his hands in the face of a Titans player. Rivera calmly ushered him aside on the sideline and said something to him. That's a situation where the coach should be livid. These penalties are from a lack of discipline and Rivera doesn't seem to be delivering.

I agree completely, but as I said in my thread-I think a great coach would use that. Call him over, obliterate him-then tell him to get out there and take it out on the opposition. Rivera called CJ over, rubbed him softly, whispered to him calmly, and kindly ask him to please stand on the sidelines.

If I were Rivera I'd be pointing to my finger telling him that's not how I got this ring. Shape up or get out.

hyperbole? he didn't lose his mind but he seemed pretty pissed to me, yelled "you can't DO that" or something similar, by the read of his lips, at CJ, and turned back to the sideline.

CJ has been around long enough to know that he can't do that, that he made a dumb mistake, plain and simple. i think rivera has lacked fire on the sidelines but in this case i think his reaction was fine.

I actually said he should take CJ out of the game for that bone headed penalty and I actually respect him more for that.

CJ made a totally absurd penalty on a great stop by the defense. We can't have our veterans doing that in front of our young players.

I would have liked more fire as well though, yell or something /shrug

The Panthers were ill-prepared and just looked lost today. We all can see Cam Newton is a gamer and a star QB. But after a bye week, with a team as mediocre as the Titans, the Panthers came out and looked like everyone thought they would at the beginning of the season.

When does the blame start landing on the coach? I wholly blame the coaching staff for this loss. The Titans looked ready to play, prepared with a gameplan to counter what the Panthers did. Nothing worked. Halftime adjustments, were there any? This looked like the 2010 Panthers. No improvement. I'm seriously dissapointed and wondering if Rivera is the right coach for this team.

I called it 4 weeks ago and got beat up.

This was bad coaching and it wasn't the first time.

*Looks at the roster, laughs, closes thread*

*for Pro-Bowler (second alternates included)

Any offense with Steve Smith*, Deangelo Williams*+Jonathan Stewart, Greg Olsen*, Ryan Kalil*+Jordan Gross* and rookie phenom CAM NEWTON

should not only put up 3 points against any team.
