When does the blame start landing on Rivera

This is a scrap year thanks to the offseason. It's almost as if the HC wasn't hired until mid-summer in a regular year.

If this team does not improve next year the blame will be entirely on the FO. We can't become like the bottom of the barrel teams (Cleveland, Washington, Arizona, etc.) who wallow in the muck for a decade thanks to bad management.

The pieces are here and the draft will help. Make it happen.

Some fans expect way too much of a first year coach

Rivera is still flushing out the old FOX run first offense & bend dont break defense

Thats hard to do in a season

let along a lock out season

A season when you lose 3 defensive starters to IR

Cleveland fans wanted their head coach fired in the 90's

Now they wish they had waited and kept him

But at least they gave him 4 seasons before they fired him,and he was winning.

That was a young first time head coach named Belicheck

Who later took those same coaching ideas to New England

Rivera may never be as good as Bill

But fans around here will never know

They are too busy comparing him to 49ers and other teams to let him coach

Excuse.

See: 49ers, with 'less talent/potential'

No one is saying hey don't make mistakes, their on pace for a 2-14 record like last year. 2-14 for ANY NFL coach is 100% unacceptable. Season isn't over yet though but 2-14 is bad.

less talent? the 49ers are stacked on defense, offense not that bad. plus their new coach has been the HEAD guy before.(i know on the college level.) but some blame does lie on RR but im willing to give him chance to correct whats going on.

9 games

9 games?

This thread....after nine games?

Yes, this thread. I asked the question, when does the head coach start taking the blame for the team's issues? There were a lot of responses saying right now.

Being the league's most penalized team and getting blown out at home against a mediocre Titans squad after a bye week requires some explanation beyond what Rivera has been saying all season calling it a "growing season" and being a "young football team". Why wasn't the team prepared? Why have there been so many penalties? What can you do in the future to fix these issues?

I haven't really questioned Rivera until the Titans game, even after his timeout at halftime giving the Saints a chance to kick a FG after not getting it off in time.
