When does the blame start landing on Rivera

Just funny how you blame everything on one player. And how things unrelated to him are his fault. Why don't you hold everyone else to Cam's standard? It's really pathetic. It's OK for the line to miss blocks, WRs to drop passes, and defensive players to miss tackles. But if Cam makes a mistake--oh God--he sucks. I'd say you need a brain transplant. But in order to have a transplant, you need a brain to begin with, and I'm not convinced you have the requisite equipment. Go back to watching a Patriots game. What's that? Cam's not the first black QB on the Panthers? Oh Lord! Enthrall me with more facts! What are our team colors? What's our mascot's name? You're such a football expert.

I do and that's my point man. Those are the standards I hold everyone too.

The standards other players set way before Cam Newton.

And you say that. If he makes a mistake. You have it all wrong. Nobody hates on him for making a mistake. He came in as a rookie. I expect him to make mistake but there is no question for me whose fault it is when it comes down to to leading this offense to a win in close games. I judge him overall. Over his first 9 games. And it's not MY OPINION. It's by HIS NUMBERS.

Not based on one mistake. I expect YOU to see he's making A LOT of mistakes. I don't expect him not to make them. I expect the fans to acknowledge the problem.

. I too think that he deserves til next season before we drag him to the chopping block.

.

He will (and should) get a pass for the first season.

It's interesting that 1 year seems to be the magic number for any player or coach. Unless they are terrible of course then we give them another year (Clausen's woes were due to Fox, Armanti isn't being given a fair chance etc...)

There is nothing magical about another draft.

Actually 3 years is the best time frame to evaluate a coach. It takes a few season for him to bring in his guys and change schemes. One or even 2 years is too early to tell much at all. Plus sometimes a coach inherits talent and looks better than they are. Other times it takes some time to turn things around. Given our last winning season was 2008, it isn't exactly an easy job changing the team and the culture.

I agree and have no issue with giving a coach time to build his empire and instill his philosophy. I'm not one calling for him to be fired.

But for various reasons which are useless to point out on this board I think he may be a flop. Just my prediction.

As a PSL owner i would much rather be sitting in a playoff game and having prime-time games to watch, trust me.

Many if not most of the fans here have this idea that new coaches need one year.

As I posted there is no logic to this at all. Some coaches win right away and some never do. the rule is when you have the tools you grab the wins, ugly or not.
