So who do you want with our 3rd overall pick?

So our offense has 8 good games and 1 bad one and you think our offense is not that good? The Titans played outstanding D, their D-line manhandled our O-line, and we had receivers drop balls. How about we had a bad game?

Thats it. At the end of the day its only 8, teams are starting to develop a gameplan against it while taking Smitty out the game, and i dont even count the Vikings game. All these 3 and outs are beginning to be problem but i will let you dazzle in the success. Im not trying to do in convincing, just sayin it should be a option.

Anybody thats talking down on Blackmon probably hasnt seem him play. He is a legit WR as they come with competitiveness up there with Smitty. Instant upgrade to any team.

No doubt, the guy is a beast but can he block a DT or DE? Can he play outside LB? Those are big holes we have and are in need of upgrades before WR. I would love to have Blackmon I just think we need help on the O-line and in our LB corp first.

I am just saying let's at least see how we respond this week and if the offense is garbage like last week then we can talk about it. One bad game could be just that, one bad game. I will start to worry if we come out and can't get the offense going on Sunday but until then that is the least of my worries.

Is it too late to do it right and get Harbaugh first and not give a poo about the top draft pick? Harbaugh's winning with Alex Smith. Fox is winning with The Golden Calf of Bristol. Can we start for once at the top like all good football teams do: with a GOOD coach?

And build a team around a good coaching philosophy, not a QB? When you have a good coaching philosophy you can also pick good QB's. Funny how it works that way.

What's the Panthers coaching philosophy? Anyone care to explain this one to me? Cam Newton?

Only works for Indianapolis. See GB Farve to Aaron: Super Bowl winners in 2 years. See Patriots: Lose Brady: winning record with Cassell.

See Carolina:

Lose Jake = 7-9 with Matt Moore.

Force coach to go against his philosophy and start rookie QB: 2-14

New coach with no philosophy and rookie QB: 2-7

It's not going to get prettier.

You're suggesting that John Fox is a good coach, which makes your intelligence questionable.

I just hope Byron Bell doesn't get Cam severely injured in the Detroit game, so the "Suck for Luck" campaign doesn't reach Carolina.

For all the idiots who don't yet know how Jerry Richardson and Marty Hurney's minds work. The Panthers love Ryan Kalil, Matt Kalil's brother. He's family. If Matt's there, the Panthers are drafting him. Too much "family" to pass on.

In this case, it would be the right decision.

End of thread.

No point is Cam is young and Steve Smith is not. Can't continue to delay finding the next Steve Smith.....which we have largely flat out ignored the position. Need to eventually go get that stud to replace him.....time is now IMO.

I either want a nasty, dependable OT

or I want a very nasty, plays smart an angry impact player on defense that bosters that front 7, and has the impact on the defense that Cam has on offense.

Would a great WR be nice, as Steve is getting older, yes, but, it does not matter if the lines suck...and right now, or lines have issues.

I think Gettis is a good player that will only get better with a good QB, Shockey brings a sense of toughness and experience along with being a good receiver.

Did you watch the game Sunday? Did you see our O-line get dominated? Kalil would be a perfect fit for the O-line and would be insurance in case Otah ends up how we all think he will. Don't get me wrong I would love more weapons for Cam but we have much bigger holes to fill then drafting skill players.

or Gettis could just be another Colbert.....a flash in the pan. Gettis isn't an all around WR (at least he hasn't shown that type potetnial). I also think he benefited as a rookie from a complete lack of respect for him and Moore throwing him the ball.

To act like Blackmon is already an elite NFL WR and has shown more than Gettis is ridiculous

Blackmon has more potential to be an elite WR. To act like Gettis has shown potential to be a legitimately great WR is homerism.

And to act like the Panthers should draft a receiver ("glamor position") when they're already good enough there and have more pressing needs is ridiculous.

Put down Madden and pick up a book to get those brain cells working.

Considering how well Gettis played last year and the promise he showed with Clasuen means a lot.

WR is not really a position of need. It's always nice to upgrade but we have young WRs, not like they are on the tail end of their career.

Other needs like CB, DT, OLB, OL are more pressing.

line overall has been VERY good this year....but now that suck really bad? B/c of one game? All you need to do is make a couple FA moves....and the line is fine.

Bell is an easy fix. We have Otah and can sign a solid RT in FA. Start whichever.....see if you can develop some young talent. Gross isn't an old LT.
