So who do you want with our 3rd overall pick?

the 2nd round will be full of CB studs, might be better to pick up a CB there. Still don't know what we have in Hogan

There's probably going to be some really good WR in the 2nd, as well.

Nick Toon, Jeff Floyd, maybe even Michael Floyd (but I doubt it.)

You guys wanting to pick Blackmon realize hes 6'1 runs a 4.5 40, has only gone for 2 plays over 30 yards this year and plays in a system offense right? Floyd has become a better prospect then Blackmon.

If we end up picking #2 I want either Kalil or a slight trade down and getting Claiborne.

He had that many in the K state game. I'm sure he has more throughout the year.

Thats because teams have been more focused on him this year so he has been having to take a lot more underneath catches while the other receivers having been killing teams deep cuz of the attention he draws, even despite that he has still been dominant. Don't let that height and forty time fool you he is a damn good deep threat and red zone threat. His competitiveness is up there with Smittys, not the same tho because i dont think there is a bigger competitor than Smitty but he is a gamer. With him and Smitty on the field at once, who is gonna stop them?

This same quote is said every year about every vet and rookie tandem at any position. It fails, like every time and the team has to look in another direction for help. So lets not make this mistake and instead draft a tackle who will contribute from day one.

Draft Kalil or best defensive player available. Skill position players on offense will want to play with cam and can thus be gotten in free agency. I like Blackmon and Jeffery as much as anyone, but I think our offensive issues can be addressed elsewhere.

Best CB or Tackle if we are giving up on Otah if anyone remembers who that is.

Next is OLB tied with DT followed closely by WR.

What's keeping me from full out saying DT is a huge need is what we already have invested in it. I hope Hurney can hit a DT with two thirds. After this, then safety depth.

So as big of a need as WR is, it is porbably 4th after the other three. We need more than one position that is for sure. Better safeties are really a luxury as sorry as our team is. Just because Beason goes down doesn't mean our defense should completely crumble. Thomas Davis should have been accounted for as he was coming off a double injury anyways. Sigh... the mistakes we are making.

Huh? What top franchise WR are you going to find through free agency?

You're the main one again knee injuries. Gettis had an knee injury. So if he dont come back the same, we're stuck with an older Steve and defenses keying in on him. Eventually Cam will need that weapon

The Panthers DON'T NEED another WR. It's not a top need, so why would they even be thinking about doing something that backwards?

Smith has at least two more good years in him, and the receivers HAVE NOT been the weakest point on the team this year. Lafell & Naanee would be good enough next year to make it through the season, also.

Look elsewhere.

It's been a top need for the past 5 years. Still is:

Titans defensive coordinator Jerry Gray confirmed after Sunday's win that taking Steve Smith out of the Panthers' offense was Tennessee's primary goal entering Week 10.

The Titans used Cortland Finnegan against Smith for much of the game. The key was tackling well to minimize Smith's run-after-catch ability. "We just did a good job of trying to keep him bottled up," LCB Jason McCourty said. "He was able to get down the field a lot in previous games, so we tried to keep him in front of us and make tackles." In Week 11, Smith will square off with the Lions, whose aggressive defense doesn't typically double team or "key up to stop" opposing No. 1 receivers.

Works every time. Longest pass today was 18 yards. And it was to a tight end.

Lafell. Naanee. They're no Mushin. I sure as hell don't want another QB. We need a #2 WR. And O-men. To run.
