Special Teams and Defense don't even belong in the NFL

Dude....our offense just got 3 and out on their first possession.

then turned the ball over on their second.

You see this as the defense's fault? Now wonder you all hate the defense so much.

You don't count what the offense does wrong! LOL

92 yards!!!!!!

No, I don't see it as the defense's fault, but I do see a 92 yard drive as the defense's fault. It doesn't matter if it was due to a turnover, it was an extremely LONG field.

Don't know how you can think a punt return for a TD isn't the special team's fault.

It is man! I do. You guys don't see when the offense is poo.

But look what happened on the drive before that. A 3 and out of our offense. We punted from our 15 yard line.

Two 3 and outs by our offense so far.

1 turnover by our offense.

3 offensive possessions = 0 points.

No points in the first 20 minutes.

This is a BAD offense.

No points in an entire quarter.

I am not sure you understand YPP after reading this post. Every TD scoring drive after a kick off =/= 100 yards in YPP calculations.

YPP is calculated by total yards divided by total points scored. So a 70 yard TD drive is 10 YPP. Not 14.2 YPP (if you divided by 100). Special team return yardage is not calculated in total yardage and therefore it isn't calculated in YPP. Therefore my example was correct and the team would have a YYP of 10 yards and would lead the NFL.

Because you don't understand how YPP is calculated it makes the rest of this post invalid.

And you all listen to dumbasses like this:

YPP counts special teams yards. You don't understand YPP or stats. So please stop posting them.

If our offense had a 70 yard touchdown after a kickoff that is 100 yards of "total offense"

30 from our special teams offense

70 from our offense.

100 from our "total offense"

YPP counts everything Teeray. STOP USING STATS.
