Breaking News: Denver plans to deal QB Cutler

I don't know which is worse... Cutler trade or Farve trade... All in which seems to be saga that will continue until the season starts.

I seriously hate turning to the NFL Network because all Total Access talks about is Jay Cutler this, Jay Cutler that.... Makes me sick that there are other situations going on in the NFL besides that and yet that is all they talk about.

Again, I will be so relieved when this Cutler situation is done and the cry baby gets his wish.

In his first three years of starting in the league (which is comparable to Cutler) he is 29-19.

He is like Christ in the sense he is being crucified by ignorant people for little apparent reason. Maybe a ton of folks wouldn't need to defend him if they felt he wasn't so unfairly attacked by a rabid segment of the fan base.

This is one of the dumbest comments I've ever read on the forum.

His first five years in the league, he couldn't crack the starting lineup when the Saints had such incredible superstar quarterbacks like Aaron Brooks, Kerry Collins, Billy Joe Hobert, and Billy Joe Tolliver. He was one of the worst active quarterbacks in the league.

Now look at him. He's at least improved to the point where he's one of the worst STARTING quarterbacks in the league.

Jake didn't start until his sixth season in the league. If Cutler doesn't make the playoffs after that point and has a losing record, then you can talk about how much better Jake is than Cutler.

But pretending that Jake is better than Cutler is ridiculous. There's not a single person in America outside of this board that believes that nonsense.

And I like how Jake-sniffers are actually legitimately comparing him to Jesus Christ lol. Only on the Huddle...

While you are nailing away, don't forget the time he was in the NFL Europe riding the pines behind Kurt Warner.

Don't forget that he threw 5 interceptions against Arizona. Can't leave that out of every conversation.

Heck lets invent some stuff as well. How about he had sex with alligators in the bayou. He doesn't really have a Cajun accent, he just uses it for attention

Makes as much sense as calling him one of the worst starting quarterbacks in the league. Facts haven't swayed your opinion yet so there is little hope for that. Your post reeks of prejudice-opinion formed and maintained without any facts to back it up.

I am one of the few that wants a new starting QB but doesn't want Cutler. Sorry guys, I just don't see Cutler as a good fit for this team. I compare him to being the TO of QBs. He wants to throw the ball and throw it often and gets upset when he is told not to throw it. Anyone that wants Cutler on the Panthers might as well include DeAngelo Williams in the trade as well because with Cutler at QB there would be no use in having Williams.

I can not argue that Delhomme is a better QB because I don't think he is. But Delhomme is a better fit for this team than Cutler and just as others have said that chemistry is important.

Also, you can not ignore the medical issues with Cutler. Even though he is only 25 I think he will not have the longivity that other QBs have. He may be lucky to play past 30 as diabets even when medicated and under control places a lot of strain on the body. In reality any team that picks up Cutler is really getting a 30 year old QB not the young 25 year old pro-bowler.

thank you! this is what i wish people would realize. this teams philosophy is to play tough defense and run the ball. then pass when we have to. if jay cutler came here he would be screaming for another trade by the end of the season. plus when a teams biggest need is help on defense, why would you trade away your best defensive player and not get any defensive players or draft picks to draft those players in return? im not gonna sit here and say that goin head to head cutler is better than jake. but on this team, jake would be a better QB than cutler

dontcha know that cutler would help on both offense and defense?

he's the bestest!

if you don't agree with that then you are in love with jake and think that he is the greatest football player ever, and suck on his toes.

You know, the very fact that SMF and whoever else who calls us jock sniffers fail even to correctly interpret what you write tells me they just see what they want to see. He makes a crack about people thinking Jake is Jesus...you crack back...he says that means we actually think that...when he is the one who came up with that "comparison" to begin with. Excellent.

But you are right, SELECTIVITY is a bitch. He also forgot to mention that Haslett basically considers his pick of Brooks over Jake to be a mistake and he admitted as much quite recently (last year maybe).

Actually as the unofficial president of the BDJS society I am fine with the ridiculous comments. It makes it that more apparent to the rational majority how far on the lunatic fringe many of them are.

As for Haslett, he can see with hindsight what Fox saw at the time, Jake was a diamond in the rough. Too bad many current fans werent around when Weinke and Peete played for us to understand why many of us like Jake.

Jake isn't great but I can't help it. I really like and admire him despite his faults and shortcomings. He does the best with what he has to work with and that is all I ask as a fan.

WHEN...WILL...YOU...PEOPLE...GET...IT...THROUGH...YOUR...HEADS...that it is not about JAKE IN PARTICULAR it is about WHAT WE THINK IS BEST FOR THE FOOTBALL TEAM...T....E....A....M! Good grief. OBTUSENESS!!!!!!

Probably about 60 seconds after he gets traded to the Bucs

(now that would be some high comedy)
