Breaking News: Denver plans to deal QB Cutler

If Jake had not stank it up so bad against the Cards, then a Cutler for Delhomme and Peppers trade(along with one of our TEs and maybe a back-up QB) probably would have looked too enticing to give up. But, if Jake had played well, then his contract would have already been signed, making it totally out the question.

Anyway, so much for all you peeps saying that Cutler was going to be in Denver. Take this as a lesson that NFL-speak by the FO is a crock of sh*t. Anything can happen given the right compensation and/or circumstances. Nothing can be ruled out. Not even Cutler in Carolina. Nothing.

Backing off their declarations that Cutler wasn't available weakens Denver's position. It also means the price tag for Cutler probably has dropped because everyone now knows the Broncos don't want their quarterback

To truly get into this game, the Bucs have to bid at least their first-round pick. To stay in the game, they'll probably need to come up with more -- like a first-round pick in 2010 and maybe a player or two.

It's time for the Bucs to go all-in. It also might be time for the Panthers, who may or may not be willing to trade defensive end Julius Peppers, to get involved if they really want to replace Jake Delhomme.

The Broncos have placed Cutler on the block. It's time for somebody to step forward and grab him.

I'd ship Peppers, Delhomme and our 2nd round pick to Denver for this guy in a heartbeat.

Cutler > Peppers + Delhomme + 3rd rounder.

Mike Lynn would be proud.

Nothing can be ruled out. Not even Cutler in Carolina. Nothing.

Given what they want in return, it most definitely can :nonod:

ok so if there is such a qb competition between two crap qbs what makes you think denver wants either of them? Quinn is about as proven as a rookie, and Anderson is clearly an average qb. So why wouldnt you trade cutler for an all pro de who wants to play in a 3-4, and get your qb in the 1st round?

What you have to remember here is that McDaniels has been a student in the Bill Bellichick School of Ego. McDaniels would probably believe that he can train Brady Quinn to be just as good as Cutler in a single season.

From the other end, the new Browns braintrust is not at all high on Quinn or Anderson. They arguably are in a better position than anyone to trade for Cutler.

Throw in the additional intrigue that this trade would be between former Bellichick proteges now turned rogue: one on the defensive side, the other on the offense.

I think its absolutely NUTS that the Broncos are giving in to Cutler's desire to be traded.

Inmates running the asylum...EVEN CINCINNATI DIDN'T GIVE IN TO OCHOCINCO.

If I were McDaniels, I would simply see what Simms has. Let him run the O, if he is willing and THERE and learning and competent, let him run more with the first team. And if he shows he is all of those...sit Cutler's ass on the bench & start Simms. Cutler isn't costing THEM much (He will 100% be getting a new contract if he is traded though).

If we actually did trade for Cutler all the Jake supporters would probably line up single-file and jump off of a cliff like the cows in South Park did when the farmers tried and take the statue of their god from them.

Let's just hope the Jake haters do when we don't trade for him.
