that being said... there are certainly cases where law enforcement officials take things too far in one form or another. Since we have absolutely no context or knowledge of what went on outside of what Claw knows, I don't know that we can conclude that was the case here at all.

I have no problem with law enforcement, in general, as I've stated many times. Sheriff department drug task forces and DEA use some of the shadiest tactics out of all police sectors in their everyday dealings and it usually drags people into charges they wouldn't have otherwise been involved in.

Some of the poo that they do, while fuging up peoples lives for the rest of the time they spend on this earth, or at least while they are in the US, should prevent them from sleeping at night. The fact that some of them can justify it, or shrug it off as "just part of the job" is fuging sickening.

One day, I saw the DEA in the parking lot of TGI Fridays. They had the dogs out and were walking them by the cars in the parking lot. If they got a hit, they ran the plates and went inside to get the owners. I thought it was a bunch of crap, but perfectly legal since they were searching the air around the cars, not the cars themselves, until the dog caught a scent, and then it was probable cause for search.
