I've read that xbox has the edge in graphics vs the ps3.

Graphics, save for MAYBE Metal Gear Solid 4, are exactly the same, and in some ways, better on 360 due to the fact that Developers can get more out of the 360 because its easier to develop for. Word I hear is, they develop for the 360, then port to the PS3. I got both, and some games look identical, while others look slightly better on 360. MGS4 being the exception, that game looks fantastic, but you better like cut-scenes.

As for the Blu-Ray difference, yeah its a selling point, but stand alone players are dropping below the 80 gb model now, so if you want a PS3, wait for the posssible price cut which should be around E3 (this summer sometime.)
