Newton vs. Tebow

I am actually a The Golden Calf of Bristol fan. I like him as a player and a leader.

But Cam is so far beyond The Golden Calf of Bristol's skill set that it isn't even a competition. Timmy Tim has so much work to do it is insane.

However, look at Alex Smith. He has been a mediocre QB his entire career, but now he is playing smart, not turning the ball over, and managing the game. He isn't relied on very heavily. The defense and running game give the 49ers the edge in games.

So The Golden Calf of Bristol, theoretically, can be successful if he is in the right system. A dominant defense, offensive line, and RB, and a smart The Golden Calf of Bristol would look really good.

I agree...eh...nah. One point though...Alex Smith can actually throw the pill a little bit. I dont know about Timothy. His scope is way off.

TRD talks about the overriding importance of "wins" one day and then performs more or less a pass-by-pass breakdown of Matt Moore's games up to and including penalties that should have been called, OL performance, and drops from receivers to defend his performance. See the Jets/Fish thread. Go figure.

He isn't really using any kind of discernible logic as far as I can tell. If a player is one of his dudes then he'll do every last thing he accuses Cam Newton nutswingers of doing when it comes to defending them. I'm not altogether convinced that that's not intentional, and that makes him the Wayne Gretzky of trolling.

TRD and his girlfriend PFFL arent willing to move the goal posts farther and farther back for Moore the way theyve been doing Newton. Their reluctance to hold him to the same standard lets you know that they know deep down a vet like Moore is not half the QB Cameron is as a rookie.

talking to yourself again TRD?

The guy pied me for saying Camdemonium is a bandwagon fan. If you don't see the humor in that, you have lost your sense of humor.

That was called sarcasm.

But I've noticed that wins only matter to you when it relates to Cam. Moore was AFC offensive player of the week and he's only won one game, how do you reconcile that?

 Again, please go read Camdemonium's latest posts on Cam. They are very supportive.

If you wish to discuss Moore, take it to the appropriate forum.

You seem very interested in defending Camdemonium.... hmmmm

Okay, so to get back on topic - measuring a QB by wins alone (especially a rookie QB) is foolish. Comparing two QB's on wins alone is foolish. The Golden Calf of Bristol plays like crap against the 2nd worst team in the NFL and barely gets the win, then he plays a good team and is buried, then he beats a so-so team with a gimmick offense, how does this compare to what Cam has done?

The Golden Calf of Bristol makes Clausen look like a great downfield thrower.
