Hayden re-signed

Panthers re-signed exclusive rights free agent DT Nick Hayden.

Hayden will get a $310K salary if he makes the 53-man roster. A smallish try-hard prospect, Hayden projects as only a long-term situational reserve.

Your thread title "resigned" means to retire, quit. Re-signed is the proper word. I read that and was like he resigned? LOL

I thought Hayden showed some decent improvement after he got that first game out of the way. That was a tough deal to be thrown in against the Giants in his very first NFL regular season action.

Exactly. After the Giant game, he came back and played well. I think that the Giants were a tough team to have your first game against, especially without either of the starters to help you out. Not to mention that without the starters, he played a lot more minutes than he was probably ready for. After all, practice shape and game shape are two different things...particularly when your talking about someone who had been on the practice squad and getting very limited practice time.
