Teams Eyeing Chudzinski?

Seems premature but I think if Cam keeps getting better its only a matter of time before Chud is gone. I could see him being a HC in a year or two.

I would have no problem if we paid him like a HC to keep him here with Rivera. And I really don't want to lose Shula either.

Rare to see coordinators not goin for HC jobs now a days, some people just ain't meant to do that ish.

Shula doesn't get enough cred for this offense firing on all cylinders and Cam's progression this year.

No "up and coming" coordinator would ever turn down a head coaching job. This league is so up and down, you have to strike while the iron is hot or you could miss out on it forever.

Looking at teams that will probably have an open HC'ing spot next year, the only team that comes to mind is possibly the Chargers. I still think he will need to have another successful season with Cam before the offers start rolling in to be a head coach.

IF he leaves, I'm not worried. He's been great, don't get me wrong, but there are plenty of other guys that would be eager to work with an offense lead by Cam & Smitty.

Remember, Jack Del Rio left Carolina to go to Jacksonville, the season after we went to the Super Bowl. As they say... when opportunity knocks.

Del Rio left after his first season in 2002, not after the SB season.

Its funny how retarded this fan base has gotten since we now have a competent offensive coordinator and a franchise quarterback.

No coach in there right mind would leave a team with this much potential to go to another bottom feeder with no potential even if its a promotion.

The real question is does he have HC aspirations? If he does then of course he would take a position. He could always move back to a coordinator position.

With the regression of the Chargers O this season, and our enormous jump, him getting looks does not surprise me in the least.

Think teams with strong armed QB's and decent D's but just can't get over the hump.

I think his name is definitely going to be in the mix this offseason. The good thing is I'm pretty sure the only reason he would ever leave us in the near future would be a head coaching job. I can't see him leaving after this year to take an offensive coordinator job somewhere else, even if he got offered more money. And especially not a demotion like Trgovac and others did. He's pretty cozy here and it would take a head coach job to pry him away. There are a lot of other contenders to be head coaches next season and also some re-treads and "sexy" picks.
