His second chance is not walking out of prison. Its not there is a life sentence for killing animals, so he was going to get out anyways. For him to say that he will be getting 10 Million a year says to me that he is still an idiot and hasnt learned anything. I hope he does come back and gets another shot, and gets his act together, but why would you say this???

I am wondering what everyone is thinking about the Plaxico Burress situation. He had an unregistered gun, walking around the streets of New York. Does anyone think that his punishment should be more than Vicks sentecing. Just wondering.....

Not sure if there is any stipulation in his sentencing or not that won't allow it but something tells me there will be more than enough companies wanting to buy his rights for a book deal and/or movie deal which could be rather lucrative. He could also pimp himself out like Octomom and sell is story to news agencies also. If he came out of prison making millions each year whether it be in the NFL or elsewhere it would not surprise me.

Will it happen? Don't know....but it won't surprise me especially as long as Al Davis still runs the Raiders and tabloid magazines/shows continue to make many millions off this kind of stuff.

He could have been in jail longer than he has been, but the VA DA failed to address that properly. I just don't think he deserves to play another down in the NFL, and I would hate seeing him in Panthers black/blue...

The Burress situation is different. I've read reports that his gun was previously licensed in Florida and that their Steve Smith was held up a few days before Plaxico shot himself.

I know they've thrown out 3.5 years as the max for him, I find Vick's crimes much worse than Plax.

He is, he's getting a second chance at freedom, and that's all anybody deserves. What he does with that freedom is up to him. He doesn't deserve a second chance at the NFL, but he should be allowed to earn the opportunity just like anybody else.

His actions did hurt the reputation of the league, so they absolutely have the right to make sure he proves he has changed before giving him another chance. Therefore, Roger Goodell is going to set the terms on which he can earn the right to play again, and a timetable when it can happen. So if he meets all of the requirements that will be set forth, I see no reason to prevent him from playing...as long as someone wants his services.

goodell let pacman come back and it backfired in his face pretty badly when pacman still messed up anyway.. I should think goodell doesn't want that happening to him again with vick.

This guy is a PR nightmare. Making statements like that is not helping matters ether. Really I would be surprised if any team touches him this year because he is prob way out of shape and his mechanics were horrible to start with.

Yeah I doubt he is able to run around much in prison. Probably hitting the weights pretty hard though.

He's been playing football in the prison league, playing QB for both sides. He's probably in better shape than if he hadn't gone to jail...
