How many Panther fans.......

Not to argue but, I was told by the Carolina Panthers legal team the area of their territory. That's why the NFL Office has to rule on the issue. Hey, he could be wrong but, I gotta go with what he told me.

Not a problem at all, I just know Ticketmaster does sell to Virginia residents where they won't sell to any other state other than NC and SC. That's all I based it on...

I live in VA. I am a season ticket holder, and have been since Ericssen opened for the '96 season. The person who started this thread asked why anyone would spend a 'self-imposed tax' to support the team. I'm not understanding that term. A tax is something imposed by a govt entity. Nobody forced me, or forces me, to support them, I do so on my own accord. Am I misinterpreting the question? Let me know..

On an another note, any of those who claim to be VA residents on this thread and may be interested in tickets, let me know. I'm trying to sell 2 of my PSLs (I have 4, all together). Again, let me know if you feel so inclined! Thanks..

Ticketmaster is not the Panthers.

Their policy and what they allow could be different, not that its ok.

seems like a good time to go to "godaddy.com" and create a website, then call all your local radio stations to gain support.

you can get the VA radio stations list and phone numbers online. (easy- google)

They have to give airtime to "non-profit Org's for public service announcements"- which in REALITY this fits the bill ;)

However, if you play your cards right, call a few newspapers (which you can also get numbers to editors off the internet) you can get some exposure.

If all else fails, go to VISTA print and create business cards (for cheap) to place around town. This is an inexpensive way to market the idea.

It is a personal joke of mine. I don't have a vanity plate on any car I own. The license fee (imposed by a govt entity) for your plate in the state of Va. is a tax and I don't believe in raising that tax. When you order a vanity plate you do just that....in this case I will make an exception.

ps.......we have a forum for selling tickets and I didn't see yours posted there.

I'm looking into the number needed to apply for a Virginia vanity plate with the Panther emblem on it. I believe you need 350 signed up and paid for before they will produce it. So yes AK........I need a petition.

An on-line petition and you only need 350 sigs? Just the few folks that have responded to this thread can spit that out in no time!

No its not 350 sigs. Its 350 pre-paid registrations. So if youre one of the first, and I dont have a problem gettin it started, you must wait until all 350 have paid their loot. So, you should figure in around $38 for registration, $10 for Vanity plate fee, and the woman at DMV that I spoke with mentioned another $10 fee( for what IDK). So 350 people willing to put up $60 indefinately will get this thing moving. I am down, are you?

Found out today from the Panthers legal team......the Panthers would be ok with the License plate idea. The NFL would have to give the ok since Va. is not in the Panthers franchise territory (only NC and SC). The Panthers have sent an em to the NFL office for a ruling. Now for the Va. DMV......I have to compile at least 350 filled out applications (from legal licensed drivers in Va.) for the plates. With all fees paid in advance to me. I have to collect the money and put it in a no interest bank account. I then have to present all the applications and money to the state of Va. DMV and they will send it to the General Assembly to be voted on. Then at some point they will give us the ya or nay. Stay Tuned till next week....same Bat time, same Bat channel.

Read the post above. Nothing we can do until the NFL gives it's OK.
