I'd recommend you pull a website together asking VA Panthers fans to enter their name and address, find out what the legal requirements for a petition are in VA.

Thanks. I'll check into it. Funny thing is my neighbor on one side is a lawyer and the neighbor on the other side is a computer programmer. I should be able to get those questions answered.

Charlottesville, Va Panthers fan here. I would love to get a panthers plate. I only know of maybe 5 panthers fans in charlottesville and 1 in richmond from charlotte that is in grad school. I have had a terrible time finding panthers gear in va. but nontheless have been collecting what I can find in stores and mostly the panthers webstore. There are never ever any games on tv which blows big time. I was on a trip to Iowa a couple weeks ago (my gf is from there and yes she is now a converted panthers fan) and found more panthers gear there than in va.

I live in Va and I have spent a ton of money on the Panthers. I have a tattoo and thousands of dollars worth of memorbilia. The Panthers are my world. I however only know of 1 other person thats is in Va and a Panthers fan.

VaBeach is where I reside and you can count me in. I know of a few Panther fans around, and this is probably the best spot to get that kind of thing going. Hell, I know people that'll sign cause I ask them to. Id go reregister my truck right now for a Panther plate. Let me know what I have to do...

Ok, so spoke with VA DMV and got the requirements. Its 350 pre-paid applications. The only number the woman I spoke with gave me was $3500. Seems to me thats a little low. $10 a person? Nice. Now, 350 people who are willing to put the loot up? Let make it happen, people...

Great work. From what I understood it is an EXTRA $10.00 on top of the regular licence plate fee. Let's figure this thing out and make it happen.

I haven't checked into this very deep but, I've got to assume the panthers have to be involved in this with the state of Va. The state is selling a licensed trade marked product and will have to make some payment... I would believe. At the very least the Panthers Org. would have to give the ok to do this. Right?

Found out today from the Panthers legal team......the Panthers would be ok with the License plate idea. The NFL would have to give the ok since Va. is not in the Panthers franchise territory (only NC and SC). The Panthers have sent an em to the NFL office for a ruling. Now for the Va. DMV......I have to compile at least 350 filled out applications (from legal licensed drivers in Va.) for the plates. With all fees paid in advance to me. I have to collect the money and put it in a no interest bank account. I then have to present all the applications and money to the state of Va. DMV and they will send it to the General Assembly to be voted on. Then at some point they will give us the ya or nay. Stay Tuned till next week....same Bat time, same Bat channel.

I think you're wrong about the franchise thing being only NC and SC. I have been able to buy tickets every year I've tried. I think Virginia is included in the franchise thing, not GA or TN, but VA, yes...

I know you are dealing with government agencies, but that's where I'm coming from...

Not to argue but, I was told by the Carolina Panthers legal team the area of their territory. That's why the NFL Office has to rule on the issue. Hey, he could be wrong but, I gotta go with what he told me.
