Isn't the biggest thing that he sees what this team can be and wants to stay here? he's sort of sending the message league wide to next year's FA that we are a place to be..now whether Hurney could care less and loves his no name FA signings is another thing.

Thats true......has to be reasonable which i think it will be since he wants to stay, but to turn it down without it even considering it would be absolutely foolish.

Shockey would be nice to keep around. For the right price this is a fantastic move. I would rotate him and Barnidge and put Olsen as our main guy. As much as we use TEs there is not reason Barnidge can wean his way into the game while Shock gets older but still gets to be a part of our team. I doubt Shockey will be used as much as he is now if he is resigned. All of this should be taken into consideration in figuring out the money figure but I think Shock knows he's made his money, now iss the time to play for the love of the game.

I really hope we resign him.
