Penn State...what did Paterno know?

As I stated yesterday, this is a really efing big deal, so big that i think PSU needs to consider shutting it down for a year and cleaning house.

Total disinfection.

JoePa needs to go away, and so does pretty much everybody even remotely involved.

This is no longer about spin control, it is about serious legal, moral, and essentially issues much deeper than football.

They won't do it, but if I am in charge there, a total campus re-focus on what is important in life needs to start NOW.

Though the world would be a better place without all of them, I'm glad Paterno didn't die before this so he can see his entire life's work ruined. It's just too sad that he's probably too senile at this point to even understand what's going on.

The more I think about this case and the reasons why joepa didnt turn him in TO THE COPS there are only 2 scenarios that seem viable to me:

1) Paterno has some old skeletons that Sandusky knew about. Maybe an old affair or 20 on his wife that he doesn't want her to know happened. Even at the expense of children that are tormented and traumatized.

2) Paterno himself is a pedo.

Either way you slice it joepa is a sick fug.

It's much more simple than that:

JoePa is one of the most selfish human beings in recorded history. The past 15 years have been mediocre at best for PSU and great for JoePa. In no other place and in no other circumstance would a coach that clearly has no business in the day to day of running a major college program would his senility, fragility and general strangeness been tolerated. But because he is the only guy they've ever known, they kept him around, never questioning how goddamned bizarre it is to have a geriatric psychopath roaming the sidelines and giving blabbering, incoherent and useless interviews to the media. It's the ultimate example of "deserving vs. earning." JoePa didn't earn the right to stay this long, but he convinced people he deserved to stay until he literally died.

JoePa didn't go to the cops because he built around himself an environment where he was more important than the university. Getting involved in this would have jeopardized this cult he had created. JoePa is a sad, selfish old creep. It can't be said enough.
