Penn State...what did Paterno know?

Cough, drop your keys, slam a door, SOMEfugINGTHING. He does nothing. How does he even look himself in the mirror.

And some people are treating him like a hero in this case.....because he testified to the grand jury.

His non actions allowed this to continue for 9 more years. One call with eye witness testimony would have had Sandusky off the streets immediately.

Everyone is speculating on what Paterno was or wasn't told. His own admissions make McQueary a POS.

He is more of a POS than even the AD in this situation.

Only those of us who deal in facts.....rather than speculation and your own personal biases.

If you say that you know what he was told, you are either a complete idiot or a liar....or in your case, both.

Your total SPECULATION of what Paterno was told is based on the testimony of McQueary.

A guy who admittedly witnessed the rape of a 10 yo boy and turned and walked away from it.

A guy who admittedly witnessed the rape of a 10 yo boy and did NOT go to the police.

A guy who admittedly witnessed the rape of a 10 yo boy and whose only action was to mention it to the head coach.

A guy who admittedly witnessed the rape of a 10 yo boy and who never followed up after telling Paterno anything.

The guy is covering his ass right now and trying to make it look like he has no fault in this.

Apparently being a psychopath isn't limited just to the PSU fans in Happy Valley...

I've already made my point about McCleary. At the very least Paterno was told about "something of a sexual nature" of a 10 year old boy. He definitely knew more, but that doesn't really matter. It's noble of you to pretend your fearless leader is just a bystander in all of this, that he can't be trusted because of all those things above (that I agree with) about McCleary, but that blurb from the indictment alone is enough for all the derision being heaped on him. Not really anyone's fault but your own if you choose to be a denier, but it doesn't really matter, because the evidence against Paterno and those who hold your line of thought is overwhelming, as is the public sentiment. This is his legacy. Dealwithit.

I tried the fact vs. speculation thing with husker and was denied.

I've already asked you to explain your point about Sandusky being a professor or whatever the hell it was. Can you manage to do that?

What about the local district attorney that shut the case down back in 1998??? Child Welfare did nothing either???

“Sandusky admitted showering naked with Victim 6, admitted to hugging Victim 6 while in the shower and admitted that it was wrong,” said the report issued last weekend by the Pennsylvania attorney general. “Detective Schreffler advised Sandusky not to shower with any child again and Sandusky said that he would not.

um..ok...and you believed him?? wtf?

oh, the reviews...

100% false advertising by Mr. Sandusky. Not a single page in this book "touches" on how to appropriately gain the trust of young, at-risk boys, and then use that trust to perpetrate horrifying sexual assaults on the very children who turned to you for guidance and support. Almost as disappointing as the first time I watched "Touched by an Angel." Don't even get me started on that bullcrap. I still can't watch anything with Della Reese in it.

I just read that the little boy saw McQueary. Is that true?

That's what the indictment says. McQueary is just as guilty as anybody in all of this, but at least he has been given a nod as "extremely credible" in all of this according to the Grand Jury. Curley and Schultz, not so much.

bro I couldn't make it past the second page. It was like something out of scary movie.

The seven or so pages dedicated to Victim 2 or particularly difficult to read. I made the mistake of reading it on my lunch break yesterday. Needless to say, I didn't even finish half of my Quizno's sub. Lost my appetite, and I'm glad I at least ate half before I started, or I wouldn't have eaten anything.

    • Super raw, not sure he is worth a top 10 pick.  Primary a pass rusher.  A bit like Burns, very fast athletic but doesnt always follow the play.  His highlights look good but when you watch him play you can see he is just raw and needs to develop
    • Personally, I am not sold on Bryce yet--and I do not think anyone is saying they are, but I don't think Ward is on table when we draft anyway.  Not even sure if I would rather have him than one of the later QBs.  I see a lot of potential in Allar, Nussmeire, Rourke, and even Hamilton from Ohio State--Milroe is intriguing, but I am not sure he is an NFL QB.  Ewers is that sleeper who falls and becomes a solid starter. I think that we sign a veteran who has played and we draft one of these project QBs. To your point:  With that in mind, I think you have to take QB off the table in round 1, and if Bryce can string 4-5 games like KC together, we still need to draft a QB in round three or so---I really think Rourke is a great fit for this offense--he is accurate and gets the ball out quickly---he impressed me vs OSU.   Reason?  I think we may have a tough decision to make about Bryce in 2 years--will he be worth $60m?  That decision is a lot easier if you have been grooming a backup for 2 years who can play. In round 1: I am hoping for PSU's edge Abdul Carter In round 2:  I would like to see us grab a DT who can rush the passer.  Walter Nolen of Ole Miss is versatile and a bit raw. I think he could be an excellent complement to Brown. In round 3:  I would love ILB Danny Stutsman from Oklahoma.  He is a beast. With 11 picks, I would package our 4th rounders to move up into the third round and take a QB.  At the moment, I think Rourke is trending upward and he has the skills Canales seems to want in a QB.  Quick processor, quick release. I would use the fifth rounders on OL.  I know that I left out WR--however, we are getting Thielen back, XL will be improved, Coker will be improved, and Moore has been surprisingly good.  Sanders (TE) has been more than expected in the passing game.  I think we need D more than WR, and maybe we can get a veteran WR to sign or find a hidden gem late.
    • Wouldn't be surprised if he starts a couple Jets games this year with the way the Rodgers thing is going. Giants fans are pissed they didn't keep him lol. He might actually have a little bit of a market.
