Penn State...what did Paterno know?

In a way...exactly....the monster manipulates the victims by providing everything a child could dream of, and slowly bending that into submitting to the sick, twisted will of the abuser. PSU allowed Sandusky to utilize their facilities and events for years to facilitate his interactions with minor children after sordid details were discovered and communicated. It's beyond the pale....and many more lives were ruined by the inaction of those with the power to stop it.

I have never seen anything like what I am watching right now on ESPN. Joe coming outside and the people cheering for him. This truly is a sad day to be an American. The guy turned a blind eye to SERIAL CHILD RAPE in order to save the institution of Penn State Football. This is appalling. Get into the sementics all you want about what he was told and in what context, but whether someone tells me "I saw a guy anally raping a ten year old" or "I saw a guy maybe fondling a ten year old unappropriately", I am going to respond the same way.

There are some things in life that trump every other thing that you do. This was a horrible, horrible decision made by Paterno, and it will forever stain anything he has done in his professional career.

And now these students rioting? I just cannot believe what I am watching here.

And half of America listens to and enjoys Micheal Jackson's work. Anyone who cant understand why people support Paterno and think Jackson is the King of Pop.

Guess what.

Condoning the molestation and rape of children is insane. I wouldnt say "king" of anything, but I am a fan of the black, pre thriller Micheal Jackson. Im 75% sure he hadnt committed child rape at that point in his life.

Sounds like this was a dirty little secret in Happy Valley for some time now. Can't find the link, but there was a story from March of this year I saw on another board from a local paper in PA that knew there was an indictment coming for Sandusky and that they were not sure why he was still seen regularly on PSU's campus.

I think just about everybody else wanted to wait for the indictment to come out before they went to press with it.

The biggest problem I had with that case was, if you thought the man was a child molester (as a parent), why would you let your son sleep at his home?
