There are many ways to interpret and extrapolate stats to form opinions and predictions about football, just like every sport. The problem, PFFL, is that you are so obnoxiously stubborn in your insistence that you are right, which may or may not be the case.

Don't you find it interesting that you are in the minority on almost every argument? I'm sure you don't, you're just smarter than everyone else. Hah, no that's not it either. You're just an obnoxious pain the ass.

Truth: There is no correlation between a top 10 defense and a negative turnover margin. Zip. Zilch. None. It doesn't even help. These guys don't get any more takeaways registered on their stats than bottom ranked defenses. Currently more than half the teams in the NFL with defenses ranked in the top 16th defenses have negative turnover margins. Even Pittsburg with cornerbacks like Troy Polomalu, whose team is currently ranked last.

And here's another little stat to try to smarten a few people up, though not the idiots, because those guys can't be helped.

This defense has faced the following: #3 offense, # 8 offense, #9 offense, #10 offense, #14 offense and wait for it....#29th and 31st ranked offense.

So our D has played against 4 of the top 10 offenses ranked in the NFL.

Our O faced the following defenses: #5, #13, #14, #15, #20, #25, #28 #30.

So our O played against only 1 top 10 defense in the league, 3 average and 3 of the worst defenses in the league, yet are ranked 21st in the league in efficiency.

We won against the 2 worst offenses in the NFL and we also won against the 2 best defenses we faced.

The #1 stat related to winning is offensive YPP, or offense's efficiency!

O efficiency = winning

D efficiency = little or nothing, when it comes to winning(we beat the two top defense we faced and lost to the worst. Reason we won, they had the two worst offenses).

YPP, cool stat bro.....not sure the rules about the calculations, but OK.

Team A: Starts 4 drives from the 15, stall one drive, end up with 17 points on, lets say, 85, 75, 85 and 40 yards= 16.47 YPP

Team B: Starts 4 drives from the 40, go three and out twice, end up with 10 points on, lets say, 60, 30, 9 and 0 yards= 9.9 YPP

Statistics are fun......were those examples a *Clear and indisputable connection to the reality of what happens on the field.?

Once again...for the umpteenth time....we've left red zone opportunities on the table, have turned the ball over, given up some terrible plays on special teams and been terrible giving up penalty yards. The defense has contributed to our problems just like these other factors have contributed to our losses. Saying the offense killed this season up to now just doesn't wash.

Using stats to back up what you want to point out?...fine....Using stats to point out that your flawless observations, ones that nobody here is smart enough to discover, observe, or understand, are indisputable? GTFO.....

Except I am not negative. I am only against lies and illusions spouted around here. I am very realistic. So I sound negative here because a bunch of people don't want to listen, and because when we are 2-6 people are happy about it and blame the defense or the team.
