"Talk about that kid in Carolina, but this kid Dalton is pretty good"

you can state it, but it doesn't' make it true.

it was pretty well known they were looking for someone to replace Palmer. They originally hoped it could be someone who was groomed while Palmer played another couple seasons, but they targeted Dalton because they thought he fit what their OC wanted to do with the offense.

.

They didn't target Dalton...Did he not go in the second round? The Bengals took care of their needs first then went fishing for a QB if any were left. He was one of the few top QBs left. By the time they got to Dalton , Cam, Jake Blaine and Ponder had already been off the board.

I am on the Dalton train, just like I am with Ponder, Jake, Mallet and Cam. But, let's not sit here and try to pretend that Dalton was on the Bengal's radar because they were desparately seeking a QB or they would have picked him in the first round and forgo A.J. Green. The Bengals could have easily forgo Dalton and just went for a vet QB but they rolled their dice and won. Just like the Panthers rolled their dice with Cam and won. And I believe the Vikings did also with Ponder.

All three of these teams won because they have rookie qbs who are playing like pros but let's not pretend...Dalton was placed in the best position of all three QBs. If he didn't succeed I'd be very surprised cause he has all the tools in place for him to win and he looked in his pro day and combine, IMO.

there were reports before the draft that they preferred Dalton to any QB but Cam and Blaine. They wanted to get him in the 2nd round and felt comfortable he'd be there. They probably also thought Ponder would be too lol

Actually they did target Dalton, to the point that they were talking to teams trying to trade back into the first round to get him before someone else did. Maybe research a little before you post....

uhm. No, I really don't get it. How does this impact the team at all? How does this change anything? Do you think Cam cares if Dalton won a game? Hell, he might even be happy for him.

No poo that our special teams and defense blow.

Why does it matter if Bradshaw or some other douche thinks Dalton is better? Do you think that even if ESPN succeeded (as if this was their intent) at making the world think Dalton was a superior QB, it would somehow cripple this team? What the heck is the point?

Why is this "movement" so scary to you?

This is about ILLOGICAL STATEMENTS. I don't give a crap about Dalton or Newton, personally, just the IDIOTIC CRAP being spewed.

If the Panthers defense and special teams blow, then I need to hear that MORE than I hear about how one QB can win and the other one can't, as if Dalton and Newton are on Offense, Defense, and Special Teams.

Does a movement have to be "SCARY" for it to piss me off? No. It just has to be baseless.

I hate the media, PERIOD. Sports media, political media, so-called news media. Any bloviators who use the airwaves to convince impressionable minds to believe something dumb pisses me off.

Good enough for you? :ma:

Bradshaw reminds me of these dads (and moms) that push their kids into sports and other activities so they can re-live their youth.

He made a comment last week about The Golden Calf of Bristol being an 'Adonis' and how he looked liked that back in the day....that fuger is gonna hear about that kid in Carolina for many more years to come

IMO, I really feel the media needs to limit the amount of ex-NFL players as talking heads. After sitting there and listenting to them for about an hour on NFLN and ESPN, I kinda walk away with the impression that they do live vicariously through these current players. Won't even talk about those talking heads who never made it or succeed in the NFL. They are downright sad.
