"Talk about that kid in Carolina, but this kid Dalton is pretty good"

This is the problem.

and when it time of crisis,

the team's leaders,

are asked to do things,

they're not used to do,

perhaps what's needed is a voice of reason,

a change or roles,

a new perspective,

maybe a different point of view

the carolina panthers need no hero

they had a good one all along

what they need now is the anti-hero

the thing that made him so damn strong

the perfect patriots didn't know this

and neither did the cardiac cats

but there comes times in one's direction

when they must change from cats to rats

a change of roles, a new perpective

a history in times divine

there isn't time to wait for winning

and sulking is a waste of time

you may have made fool of your haters

you may have made them lose their face

but there are bigger stakes for playing

you're now playing for the Panther's face

some fans are easy to win over,

others are loyal to the vets

some fans will never leave their shadow

before the new guy takes their bets

it's destiny, not fame or fortune

that may have brought you to us now

it's history, a tale of sorrow

and inspiration was the wow

the carolina panthers need no hero

fans had a good one all along

we may need back the anti-hero

the thing that made you so damn strong

a selfless leader's what we needed,

the greatest show on turf we had

the clown we love to call our hero

needed a brother, not a lad

a selfless leader's what we needed

a year before we got a boy

despite the cries of those who heeded

ended up used just like a toy

some leaders love to be the bad guys

some leaders love to get the girls

some leaders love to eat the spotlight

while others simply want the pearls

a selfless leader's what we needed

but good things never seem to last

the Bengal's boy is now the hero

and we're stuck living in the past

fans think the media is helping

but i know better that's a ploy

they raise u quick, and kill u faster

and now they want the other boy

sometimes a hero turns to villan

sometimes a hero is a foe

sometimes a hero is a hero

and others times it's just for show

the panthers didn't need a hero

a leader is what we needed most

sometimes all heroes must be heros

but other times they're just a ghost

sometimes you have to know your limits

but never limit what you do

and never ever stop competing

doing things you're not supposed to do

we also weren't supposed to get there

they told us we didn't belong

but in double OT in St Luois

we also proved they had us wrong

its 3rd down time in double over

a jake, a smith, 14 to go

an X, a clown a quick connection

and this is how you close the show

the world was great, the stage was bigger,

as underdogs we did it best

with 6 to go the roles switched over

and now we couldn't pass the test

a D choke here, a muffed kick there

hero to them to us a foe

taught us a lesson we'll remember

next time WE have to close the show

it's never over till its over

a dog can even tell you so

and when the time comes don't roll over

pull out your claws to strike your foe

a team in shambles, fans called treason

a kicker beat dead like a horse

because the pressure just gets bigger

when you don't win it at your worse

a destiny, a leader's journey

a dinasty, the cat's to blame

and whe we failed to stop the patriots

the giants came and took our fame

the perfect villans could do it neither

when they were asked to play like cats

and the cats failed to win their spotlight

when they too needed to be the rats

the media says pats and giants

rematch they call to see who's strong

but media is full of nonse

cats know they always get it wrong

two teams, a history, their geatness

now we ask that you right the wrong

the giants task was not the perfects

that always belonged to the cats

when times are tough, and they take over

look left, look right, up to the ground

we always stood shoulder to shoulder

and always huddled all around

an inspiration, a good story

that what will slay the migthy beast

talent alone will bring you over

but won't invite you for the feast

it's not just history, it's his story

that's what we used to make us growl

his cancer pain, a tragic story

thats's what sets panthers on the prowl

when lights go off, and the seats empty

when too much rain, or snow or pain

oustide the stadium is your answer

no pain no fame, no loss, no gain

one's name alone is no great story

with team's full trust, still not a goal

it's not a moving inspiration

that's gonna get you to a bowl

and now that you have taken over

the cat's monkey still on their backs

to win the close one's the cat's story

so get our monkey off our tracks.

an inspiration is what;s needed

and fans to stop drinking the juice

shut out the anti-hero story

its long dead, buried and abused

we needed you to be a villain

to beat them down and make them cry

but now that they are now your fans

lts time to let that story die

this transformation is no blessing

it's only a curse in disguise

cause now the bengals boy is cruising

they're now the cats and were the lies

we wanted fame we got our wishes

but good things seem to never last

under the radar is the secret

if we just looked into our past

Somebody get it in Cam's hands.

I don't understand what you mean "of course he has" Who is he and what has he done?

While I was typing that post I realized you might have assumed I was saying that Bradshaw never talks about Newton. That's not what I was saying. I was asking if you personally have ever heard what Bradshaw says about Newton when he does talk about him.

I've got no problem with Dalton, he's playing well as a game manager as a rookie, kind of like Joe Flacco or Matt Ryan.

EDIT: Also, nice triple post bro.

I think Dalton deserves alot more credit than "game manager" and I'm not embarassed by my triple post. Also, I think Cam is great, thankfully we drafted him.

But what's up with this weird "Cam is the greatest ever and if you dare say a peer of his is good, Im gonna throw a tantrum?" What the f*ck is that about?

Give Dalton his due. He has played well and they are 6-2.

I will say this however, and it isn't Dalton's fault, but they are 6-2 but only really have 1 quality win against a Buffalo team that is regressing a little bit after their fast start.

Cam is 2-6. But we have lost to: the defending SB champs, the Saints just two seasons removed from being SB champs, the Falcons who were the #1 seed in the NFC last year, the Bears who played in the NFC championship game last year, a very talented Vikings team who just like us are a couple plays away from being 6-2 or 7-1, and we have a really bad loss against the Cardinals.

Compare that to the Bengals that have beaten: A pretty bad Browns team, a pretty good Buffalo team, a bad Jaguars team, the terrible Colts, a very bad Seahawks team, and a very average Titans team.

Give Dalton his due but just comparing W/L between the two is a poor way to judge their respective performances to date.

Figured that might be the only way the HUDDLE gets what's important about this Franchise. It's what's missing. A story. His no longer makes sense. He can't win like this. And this media is not helping him or this team.

Why do you think he's on lockdown? Someone needs to put that in Cam's hands.

Couldn't agree more, and Dalton's probably going to lose some very tough games down the stretch. Then again, maybe he won't. Who knows? My point continues to be, "STOP THROWING A FIT WHEN CAM ISN'T THE ONLY ROOKIE QB THEY TALK ABOUT. PLEASE."

I find it rather amazing, how many people are down playing dalton's role on his team playing well, and winning.

Yes, cincy has a pretty good defense. That alone doesn't win games.

Dalton is playing very well for a rookie qb. He went into a great situation, and is playibng well.

Why can't people accept that?

Because homers are the most asinine humans on earth.
