With the _ pick in the 2012 NFL Draft the Carolina Panthers select...

In the trenches. The best DT or OT available.

holy poo I agree with GRG

although I'm not sure there is a DT worthy of being picked in the top 5-10(more than likely we pick in top 10, but I could see us getting a top 5 pick). it'd be awesome if we trade down and pick up a 3rd rounder or something.

I think Burfict will be an awesome LB, for a 3-4 team, and a team that has the chance to give him a mentor so he calms down. Much like Jimmy Smith was coming out of this year's draft. He went to a team that could mentor him, because they already had an established leader in the locker room.

I'd like to see us try and trade back, and pick up a third round pick, honestly. If we could trade back and get Janoris Jenkins, I would be extremely pleased. Or, if we could trade back and try and land someone like Zach Brown late, that'd be nice, too.

Stop with the WR crap. Clearly our offense is NOT the problem. If anything on offense, we should take someone to replace that piece of sh*t Otah.

I hated drafting/starting two DTs this season, but as I figured, neither of them are actually any good. Now we'll have wasted those two picks and we'll use one of our higher rounders on another DT.

Other than that, maybe an OLB to take over Davis' spot.

We have to go defense. We have the 5th Ranked Offense in the NFL, and 16th Ranked defense (28th in Points Allowed).

If there is a DT worth the grade then we should take one with our top pick. That will allow our LBs to get free and make plays. Brandon Thompson is projected to go somewehre between 10-15, so this is conceivable.

If not, then go with CB, like Claiborne or Kirkpatrick.. both of those guys look like complete studs. Even though OLB is a bigger need than CB. I think OLB are easier to find later in the draft.

Then take Dontari Poe in the 2nd round.

I completely agree with this.

Hell, Zach Brown is projected outside the Top 32 right now, which means we could potentially land one of the awesome CBs then land Brown in the 2nd. Think how awesome that would be.
