AJ Smith gets another dig in at LT

Tomlinson told reporters Thursday that Rivers, a former teammate, looked “distracted.”

“I’ve always said this, ‘It’s hard to be ‘the guy,’” Tomlinson said. “When they say this is your team, it’s hard to be the guy, because you get all the questions about what’s wrong and what’s right.”

When those comments were relayed to Rivers, the Chargers’ starting quarterback did not agree.

“I don’t feel that burden, nor has it had anything to do with the struggles,” Rivers told the San Diego Union-Tribune. “People say, ‘It’s your team.’ I never bought into that.”

Smith’s comments were more pointed. That is, a pointed dig at Tomlinson, who was released by the Chargers after the 2009 season and signed with the Jets.

“I agree with what LT said about it’s hard being the guy,” Smith said. “But I think it’s a lot harder when it’s no longer your team, and you’re not the guy.

Smith just trying to save face, I'm surprised he still has a job. Their window has passed, time for a regime change.

Norv and Smith should be fired already, there's no reason to have Phillip Rivers as your QB and not even make an appearance at the superbowl.
