Panthers Madden Franchise Simulation

Do you copy paste all this stuff or hand type it????

Type it myself.

ALL 32 TEAMS?? I'm too lazy to control 2 teams. Why does Godfrey suck? do you not have the updated rosters?

I re-edited every team's roster before I started the franchise. As I said, I tend to use conservative ratings; there are very few 85+ players; only the really good players. I felt 79 was a good rating for Godfrey based on the system I was using.

So what did we get in the Dallas trade??

(what the fug am I doing...)

edit: WHAT THE fug?!?!?

3rd & 5th round picks to move down from 10 to 18. I listed all the draft-day trades below the results.

that was cool. nice work

I'd take Hosley at that 2nd round pick though

Considered it, but went straight BPA. TE is far from a huge need, but Allen was by far the highest rated player regardless of position so I took him.

I'm confused

Also, just for the hell of it I threw in these. Basically what the 'headlines' would be if this were happening in real life. It'll likely be a lot more informative once I get farther into the future.

LEAGUE STORYLINES 2012:

Panthers: Can Cam Newton avoid a sophomore slump?

Falcons: Michael Turner struggles in preseason: is he in decline?

Buccaneers: Can Bucs replace Ronde Barber in secondary?

Saints: Can re-vamped OL protect Brees?

49ers: Can Alex Smith hold off Colin Kaepernick in 2012?

Rams: Jeff Fisher takes over struggling team; can Sam Bradford rebound?

Cardinals: Ken Whisenhunt, Kevin Kolb on the hot seat.

Seahawks: Pete Carroll's future in Robert Griffin's hands.

Cowboys: The pressure is on to be more than average for Garrett, Romo.

Eagles: Can Andy Reid's squad rebound from disappointing "dream" season?

Redskins: Matt Barkley takes over from day one as starting QB.

Giants: Can Eli continue to play at elite level?

Packers: Rodgers, Pack try to bounce back from disappointing Super Bowl loss.

Bears: Will Forte contract dispute be a distraction for the team?

Lions: After playoff appearance, can Lions take the next step?

Vikings: Is Christian Ponder the real deal?

Patriots: Brady & co. look to defend fourth title.

Jets: Can the Jets win a Super Bowl with Mark Sanchez at QB?

Bills: Was 2011 a fluke or are Bills the real deal?

Dolphins: The Andrew Luck era begins.

Colts: Peyton Manning returns; rusty or ready to go?

Texans: With Manning back for Colts, can Texans repeat as division champs?

Jaguars: Perry Fewell takes over as head coach; is Gabbert the answer at QB?

Titans: Jake Locker takes over as starting QB.

Bengals: Young & talented or overrated?

Raiders: Can Carson Palmer lead Raiders back to playoffs?

Chargers: One last shot for Norv Turner? Can Phillip Rivers rebound?

Chiefs: Todd Haley, Matt Cassel on the hot seat?

Broncos: The Golden Calf of Bristol on the trade block? Broncos sign Matt Flynn, draft Ryan Tannehill for future.

COACHING HOT SEAT:

Ken Whisenhunt: Hasn't had a winning season since Kurt Warner retired.

Norv Turner: Coming off worst season as Charger's head coach.

Todd Haley: Inconsistent Chiefs a reflection of their head coach?

GETTING WARMER:

Pete Carroll: Has yet to have a winning season, but arrival of rookie QB Robert Griffin buys him some time to develop.

Jim Caldwell: Peyton Manning returns, but if team continues to disappoint Caldwell's seat could quickly get hot.

John Fox: QB situation crucial to Fox's future in Denver, but John Elway won't want to admit his first major decision was a mistake so soon.

Mike Shanahan: Like Carroll, rookie QB (Barkley) likely buys him a couple years before playoffs are expected.

Andy Reid: Another year like last season and Reid's seat could be getting hot.

Jason Garrett: Jerry Jones doesn't like settling for average in big D.

Lovie Smith: Safe for now, but one down year could change that.

LEAGUE STORYLINES - WEEK 1:

Panthers: Defense improves, particularly in red zone.

Falcons: Turner's struggles continue, red zone offense dooms Falcons in loss to Panthers.

Buccaneers: Another below average game for Josh Freeman, but offensive line gave up 4 sacks to Raiders.

Saints: Drew Brees looked like Phillip Rivers from last season in loss to Chargers.

49ers: Alex Smith plays poorly, gets hurt, Kaepernick almost leads comeback. Why go back to Smith after this?

Rams: Bradford's struggles leave many wondering if QB was labeled a success too quickly.

Cardinals: Kolb spectacular against Eagles with 331 yards, 3 TD's. Cardinals defense was not.

Seahawks: Robert Griffin solid in debut/close loss, but overshadowed by teammate/fellow rookie Chris Polk.

Cowboys: Offensive struggles in Cincy lead to more questions about Romo.

Eagles: Jeremy Maclin torches Cards for 142 yards as Dennis Dixon plays well with Vick sidelined briefly.

Redskins: Rookie QB Barkley sharp in road upset over Giants.

Giants: Eli Manning struggles in upset loss to rookie-lead RedSkins.

Packers: Defensive struggles from postseason continue in shootout loss to Detroit.

Bears: Forte struggles, but Bears win thanks to big games from Cutler, defense.

Lions: Stafford briefly exits game in a scare, but returns to lead Lions to shootout win over Packers.

Vikings: Ponder's performance not pretty, but the Vikes get the job done.

Patriots: Brady near flawless, but defense nearly lets Kaepernick-lead 49ers come from behind.

Jets: Bad day for Sanchez only adds fuel to fire surrounding QB, coach Rex Ryan.

Bills: With Fred Jackson hurt early, C.J. Spiller's big day leads Bills to victory.

Dolphins: Pro debut far from perfect with 2 picks, but a lot to like about Luck - and the Dolphins defense.

Colts: Manning looks rusty, throwing 3 picks, but also 323 yards in overtime win over Jags.

Texans: Foster-lead rushing attack takes down Jets; Schaub efficient in win.

Jaguars: Is it time to start worrying about Blaine Gabbert yet?

Titans: Locker slow to get going, can't finish in close loss to Dolphins.

Browns: After one of the worst debuts imaginable, does Pat Shurmur bench Landry Jones for his own good?

Steelers: Big Ben far from spectacular, but just good enough to beat Ravens at home.

Ravens: Flacco gets his stats, but what Ravens really needs is for him to come through in crucial division games like this.

Bengals: Trent Richardson has big debut as Bengals young stars shine.

Raiders: Palmer leads steady passing game on off day for Raiders running game.

Chargers: Rivers turns in solid performance in win over Saints.

Chiefs: Pedestrian day for Matt Cassel, but lack of success on the ground a bigger concern. Still, a win's a win.

Broncos: 48 rushing attempts and just 95 passing yards raise questions about John Fox's offensive philosophy.
