like i've always said, its the same as PS3 vs. 360 vs Wii... console vs. PC/Mac .... if you're a real gamer, you enjoy them all.

if you need to pretend you're elite, then go ahead and limit yourself to one format.

What does that even mean? Consoles are overpriced, low powered PCs with a limited and controlled interface. The last Madden game i bought I played fine with a PS-like controller. There's only one format - a series of ones and zeros that display graphics and a screen.

don't see that there. if you are going to generalizations then I'd make a better one. Good friends a pc gamer but thats all he ever does. always look down on consoles because they aren't good enough and misses the whole social aspect of xbox. Would rather play some cod with good friends for a few hours on xbox then go downtown and try getting some girls than sit on my pc all night like him because the graphics look better imo.

steam has a pretty good social aspect to it. we can make chat rooms that hold hundreds of users, have them all engage in steam chats, make community groups

i have no idea what a dedicated server is, or why they're so integral to online gaming, but i get pissy and bawl out when games are laggy or a host disconnects in the middle of a match
