The great debate PC vs. Console

I was a console guy for a long time due to the fact that my PC's were always garbage.

Now will only be on PC starting December 20th because I will be playing Star Wars The Old Republic for the foreseeable future.

Consoles were great for getting video gaming started but they are no longer needed at all. The overall quality and quantity of games would be better without them.

you'll never get the immersiveness in a console what you can achieve in a pc game. That being said...after a while, I got tired of spending hours in a game where a quick 5 minutes shootemup fest is what I really needed to wind down. Sports...same thing.

If I really wanted to spend hours upon hours and enjoy great graphics and map sizes, I'd go back to PC. Problem is, I don't want my kids to see that and think it's normal.

while this is generally true... i disagree to some extent.

Games like Demon's Souls, Ico, and Shadow of the Collossus have that immersiveness. I used to PC game religiously but I started using macs and had somebody give me a ps3... so now I'm console.

The japanese still make some killer (and really unique) games that are only available on consoles.

Ever since I got OnLive I've been enjoying playing games on my PC. But I do prefer a console.

PC gaming is becoming less and less relevant every year. Wouldn't be surprised if it's reduced to niche or independent games by 2020.

By that point PC and console will merge. Once cloud technologies and tablet devices mature everything will change.

If Sony didn't own so many first party studios, I would be an elite PC warrior. Every year though..PS3 exclusive games get better. Definitely will get multiplats as GFW from now on. That's the obvious choice.

Still gotta upgrade though....still unemployed. :patriot:

FPS, pc all the way.

Racing games/sims, work well on either.

Starcraft, pc all the way.

I'd take pc anyday.

At this time in my life, i have very little time to play games, so i've been playing a xbox that i came across at a price i couldn't pass up.

I still prefer pc.
