Cam newton will mark a new era of thinking toward black quarterbacks and the conscious and sometimes unconscious racist attitudes people have toward them.

1. You are afraid to admit you were wrong: Hey. Come on man. It doesn’t hurt that bad. I wanted Dareus myself, thought Cam was too much of a risk. I was even a little pouty about right after the draft. For like 10 seconds as I was in Costa Rica and that place is awesome.

Get over it and enjoy the magic.

2. You cannot accept a black QB: “First they took over the skill positions and the defensive backfield. Then they took over the defensive front seven. YOU CANNOT TAKE THIS FROM ME, DARKIES! LEAVE ME THIS AND THE O-LINE!“

Though no one will ever publically admit to this being the case, you’ll notice that the only QB’s they seem to like all seem to be awfully pale. Oh and somehow a 6 ft 5 Pocket QB who has an insane work ethic is always compared to either Mike Vick or Jamarcus Russell.

When I first read the Cam Newton saga presented by our media, the first thing that came to mind was, this is a serious witchhunt against this kid because he choose Auburn over the more media friendly schools. Then I followed the story and observed how Auburn was receiving the most media heat even though there was NEVER any proof of guilt against them nor did they even received any letter from the NCAA in regards to the incident. I also noticed which school fans were strongly invested in seeing Cam get punished and was more than happy to push the media's "believe simply because we say so" rhetoric against this kid and his father. I instantly called it a school rivarly gotten out of hand and our media fanning the flames with their usual "unnamed sourced" stories of father's guilt.

Who couldn't see them waiting for Cam to enter the draft so they can really do after him must be as gullible as they come.

USC means Southern California to the entire world except for South Carolina fans. I tend to side with the entire free world vs. Gamecock fans.

Carolina was a school first .. therefore .. USC condoms can fug off. We even played em for it .. and they lost.. and then sued .. soooo fug em even harder.

I thought every QB in this draft was gonna suck. As far as I was concerned, Gabbert was all media hype, Locker could run but couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, Cam was the second coming of The Golden Calf of Bristol, as an ACC fan Ponder had failed to impress me for the past 4 years, Mallet was the next Jason White being carried by his defense, and Dalton was just in a pass happy gimick offense like B.J. Symons and Colt Brennan.

I've never been so happy to be completely wrong

You guys act like if you go back in time you'd think differently. No one on this forum understands the concept of hindsight even though it is repeatedly used. I am not sorry I didn't want Newton because I didn't know any better. At the time he was a very risky pick. Anyone who did not support him simply didn't want to take the risk, nothing to be sorry for or feel guilty about. It's stupid to put blame somewhere and even more stupid to say how right you were. fuging stupid.

No body cares already get over it. STFU already about Cam haters and poeple who were 'wrong' about Cam. That bullpoo is over with and as a Panther fan we have something much more important, we have a QB and we have a future brighter than ever and you guys want to sit around and talk about some bullpoo like hindsight.

Anyone who still hates Newton, if we HAVE to take the time to sit here and discuss them, is obviously one of those poeple who are never pleased and never will be pleased. Anyone who has lived on earth for a while knows there is plenty of those kind of people around.

I always wanted Cam, but I agree. The only thing that irks me are those who act like he hasn't demonstrated that he can at least a viable quarterback, or blame him solely for all of our losses when they are very obvious flaws elsewhere on the team.
