There's an NFL Sound FX video of Dalton and A.J. Green, definitely worth checking out. The kid's got a great on-field presence. His deep throws need some work but I think he'll continue to progress. But Baltimore and the Steelers will probably put a dent into his team's record.

I can live with them giving him the award based on the record. . .but that won't be true too much longer :P

I'll give you one guess as to which team leads the NFL in average starting field position for their offense, and net average field position (i.e. offense's starting field position minus the defense's field starting position). That same team has not lost a single fumble on offense on all season, and has recovered 13 out of 18 fumbles that have occurred on defense (when historically, teams recover about half of their fumbles).

The Ravens talk is funny. If Dalton beats the Ravens, you guys will point to Gabbert etc and say how bad the Ravens are. If he loses, Gabbert beat them and Dalton couldn't so how bad is Dalton, terrible right?

Few, if any, are saying Dalton is terrible. People are saying he is as of right know not playing at the level Newton is playing.

Dalton is playing very well for a rookie and I have no problem with him winning this. But Newton is still over the season playing a lot better.

I have a hard time figuring out why so many Panthers fans are spending one second thinking about how well a rookie for an AFC team is doing and getting defensive that some people think he is better than Cam. It is really strange.

Truth is our record is not impressive 2-6 and hopes of a playoff run would take a big run and a couple saints rams games to go our way. And if we can't cheer for player who standout on our squad:Chevy_anim:

Dalton is able to make mistakes and still win because his defense will bail him out a lot. He has drove the ball down the field a couple times to win the game so I'll give him that(though his kicker did make the field goals). He's a good player but I don't see a guy who will become elite. Matt Ryan level seems like the ceiling.

Cam has very little margin for error since the defense can't hold up on a short field and it seems like any time they force a punt seems like a miracle. He's also asked to do a lot in order to get himself accumated for the future. I'm sure the coaching staff expected way more rockier times then what we have right now. Obviously Cam has to play perfect to win most games, because the rest of the team is making a lot of mistakes that his just get magnified.

This all being said; They are just rookies.

I apologize if this thread is not in the right forum but it's a bye week and I couldn't go to sleep last night thinking about the team and how we've done up until. I had a feeling that everyone on the team who played exceptional would get snubbed besides Steve smith when superlatives are being stowed.

in 2008 the panthers finished 12-4 and won the division and the saints finished 8-8 despite drew brees throwing for over 5000 yards. does that mean delhomme was a better quarterback than brees that year?
