Andy Dalton

Dalton is doing fine given his skills and abilities. How they are using him is much like Bradford last year for St. Louis. As a rookie he is doing what most teams would expect you to do, makes plays, not lose the game and let your running game and defense win the game for you. Frankly it is the same model we expected to use for Newton as well.

Even I didn't expect newton to do as well as he has and I was a big supporter. Cam is doing what he is doing because he can. But that doesn't take anything away from Dalton. I am looking forward to seeing how Cincy fares in their division the rest of the year. I wish him well as he is of no consequence to us unless he is on our schedule.

Grits your lack of objectivity is disgusting. You seem to have no desire or ability to see beyond color and are more than willing to try and rationalize your irrational line of thought. As long as there is a white qb that Grits can try to place above Cam he is more than happy.

Browns (3-4) W

Broncos (2-5) L

49ers (6-1) L

Buffalo (5-2) W

Jax (2-6) W

Indy (0-8) W

Seattle (2-5) W

Combined opponnent record thus far: 20-31

They have had such an easy schedule, and they even lost to the broncos. I'm not saying he sucks, but he would have to be Jimmy clausen bad to not win those games.

He's done well so far, but they still have to play baltimore and Pitt 4 times total, plus houston and Tenn, then they get sprinkles of easiness by playing St. Louis and Arizona later in the year, and a possible easy game in Cleveland.

In other words "style over substance."

Let's apply this logic to other areas of our lives:

Husband: "Hey honey I just had my first year-end review and it went great! They're saying I'm probably the most promising first-year employee they've ever seen and that I've got a bright future with the firm!"

Wife: *deep sigh* "...so that means no raise or promotion yet. Why are you so happy with style over substance?"

1) Who are you?

2) "Lack of objectivity" - No i just don't kiss the home team's ass.

3) "No desire or ability to see beyond color" - So wrong its not even funny. I simply named two quarterbacks that i liked in the off season. Two quarterbacks who have turned the fortunes of their team(s) to the better. This is a fact my friend.

4) "White qb that Grits can try to place above Cam" - Again, the guy i wanted is winning football games. Thats all i want, to win games. Hell i don't care what he looks like. Doug Williams is one of my favs because he won. Its really not Cams fault the team sucks balls. Its the front office that doesn't know how to built a winner.

I think Cincy finishes 8 - 8 at best. If we can win 6 or 7 and they win 7 or 8 it will quash a lot of this debate. Look at their schedule. They haven't played the Steelers or Ravens yet. Plus, the reason they are winning is they have a top defense. What would Cam be able to do if his D was getting him more possession and TOP.
