Odd, my username (Mattiekrome) has been taken as well. Not exactly sure how that happens. Wonder if I had an existing account on some other part of the Panthers site that I had forgotten about?

Surely nobody would be out there registering all these names... unless the Panthers admins collected all the usernames from the Huddle and did a pre-emptive ban on them :/

There's a box where you can see if your username has been registered. Mine was saying that it was already taken, and I'm pretty sure nobody would ever use my handle. I tried doing the password reset with all the email addresses I've used in recent memory, and sure enough I had already registered my name (somehow) with an email address I've not used since early 2000's.

I did notice that when I got the password reset email notification, it said something about this will reset my password on "all" NFL team sites or something like that. I remember registering on some of our opponents message forums in the past, I guess if they were NFL team sites, that was when my account was set up.

do you have an account on NFL.com? maybe the team boards are tied to the main site.
