Just a quick note. My name was taken also, so I tried all the e-mail addresses I have used in the past several years to retrieve a username and got a hit. I reset the password for it, and when I logged in, there was Cyberjag. They may have restored a bunch of old account names when they put in the new boards, so you might try that if your name has been taken too.
