Jared Allen is one of the leagues premiere pass rushers. Gross isn't superman and he's not going to be able to keep him at bay every down. Cam's gotta be extra protective of the ball when he's facing a guy like Allen.

Actually I think that the blame for those sacks needs to rest partially on Chud as well. When you have a DE with 11 1/2 sacks coming into the game you don't put the tackles on an island out there, you give him help. Too many times we were putting the backs and TEs out in coverage when we should have kept them in to chip Allen. It reminded me a little of Martz out there at times. The quarterback can't look down the field and look at the rushers or he ends up being Clausen. He has to count on his blockers to do their job.

I disagree with Grits that it was completely on Cam but he did let the ball go. Yeah Gross got beat but he didn't force the ball out of Cam's hand. Cam still has to get some blame for the fumble.
