If your upset about the production of Carolina's running game this season, don't blame the players, they have performed well

DeAngelo Williams is at 4.8 ypc

Jonathan Stewart is at 4.6 ypc

I say that is about what you want from your RB's yeah we aren't seeing the explosive plays that we're use to, but we haven't been rushing the ball anywhere near as much as in the past, but by those numbers alone all you can say is if you have a issue with it, it's with the OC.

with that being said though, if we knew that we would be going to this pass happy offense I really wish we would have not signed DeAngelo back and had let him walk, because in this limited roll he's not worth the money and we would have been just fine with Stewart.

you forgot to add that we're also giving Cam rushes as well. Not that that should mean much. but i think the run is effective even though we don't run the ball that much by not running.

When DeAngelo makes game-breaking plays like he did against the Saints, I hear "crickets" from people like you.

You guys act like he couldn't be traded in the future... Not that I'd agree with that either though.

Everything will come together, the stars will align in this offense, and when it does (although I'm growing tired of waiting because I'm an impatient sob) this offense will be "Patriot-esque" or even better.

I know that we're all tired of waiting, but it will come. Continue being patient. Look at the bright side. This will be the last year for a very very long time that we'll have to be patient at all.

I think it looks worse than it really is because we don't do it that often. So there aren't as many "wow" plays. It also has to be hard getting into a rhythm as a back as well. But I love out offense now, much more exciting.

Exactly. His role in this offense is just too limited to warrant 2 backs. It could have been used more wisely on positions of need.

Well put. Also, Adrian Peterson is averaging 4.8 ypc; his numbers wouldn't look any better either if he was only getting 12 times or less.

TBH I think Dwill and Jstew will get more carries as the season drags on. Teams are still stacking the box and are forcing Newton to beat us. Add in that our Defense gets ran all over and there is little time for us to use our backs.
