It still amazes me that Bill Murray is the most successful member of SNL.

If we're going off of post SNL success then Eddie Murphy, Will Ferrell, Chevy Chase, and Chris Rock are definitely on the same level as Bill Murray if not higher. Oh yea and Robert Downey Jr was a cast member for a season too so he's up there too.

Pretty much everything since Bedtime Stories has been terrible. He's become Vince Vaughn. Recognizable and charming but lazy, predictable and complacent.

Wedding Singer was good, but wasn't close to as funny as the other stuff he was doing at the time. He's had a great career, but he should be hanging it up right about now. And I think that montage forgot about "Punch Drunk Love"

I'll give you RDJ, he is higher. But Eddie and Chevy have had their bad times, yeah lets call them that, bad times. Murray has always done something that was worth watching.
