Fried Turkey

So we are thinking about ordering a fried turkey for Thanksgiving this year. It frees up the oven, and frankly just sounds delicious. Does anyone in Charlotte have suggestions on where to order them from? I know Bojangles offers fried turkey, but if there is a local restaurant that someone here recommends, I'd appreciate it.

agree completely with mrs pantherfan unless you are a complete amateur when it comes to cooking. i have a friend that was, well, a complete amateur and let's just say he put a nearly frozen turkey into the fryer and was very lucky that he didn't hurt himself worse than he did.

My family has fried turkey every thanksgiving for the past 4-5 years. It is the best thing ever and it's not that difficult to do. Go buy a bird unthaw it and juice and season it up and read the freaking directions that came with your fryer. Fried Turkey will change your life.

I kid. my wife actually makes the best i've ever had, and she bakes it. I've had fried, and it just hasn't met the hype. Could be that it was just overcooked though.
