I'm just as tired of all the attention The Golden Calf of Bristol has been getting for sucking as much as the next guy, but I will say this, and I can't speak for everybody but IMO:

Watching these highlights of him playing as Denver's starting QB these last 2 weeks reminds me even more so how happy I am that Cam Newton is a panther. I won't waste any time pointing out specifics because I think their respective performances speak for themselves.

Don't get me wrong, I'm just as pissed as everybody else about our 2-6 record halfway through the season; but I'll be damned if it doesn't feel good knowing that we have our QB of the future. Take a page out of Tupac's book and keep ya head up Cam because everybody knows your a mother fuggin' monstaaa

I looked at a Broncos forum yesterday, to see what the homers were saying. Let's put it this way, this board seem very functional and unified compared to theirs. With the exception of our butthurt Oregon Duck Cam hater trolls, we are pretty much all on the same page. Between The Golden Calf of Bristol and Fox...those guys are beside themselves.

Urban Meyer and The Golden Calf of Bristol reunited in Miami next year??

I think The Golden Calf of Bristol can be an effective QB in this league but it won't be as a traditional pocket passer.

Maybe, but I seriously doubt it. He'd be a much better RB or FB. You gotta be able to pass to win nowadays unless you just have a bad@ss defense.

Based off what I've seen he should only be used inside the 20yd line @ QB, he'd add another dimension for the defense to gameplan for. They could run that "Pistol" look like we've done with Cam, D-Will, and Stew, but fro them I imagine, The Golden Calf of Bristol, Moreno, and McGahee.

Dude...

For the love of God let it go. He cant play QB at this level. Period. End of Story.

No system will ever protect him enough for him to be an every down QB.

He may well be a great human being off the field, but holy poo he stinks as a QB.

I'm with you all the way. It makes me appreciate this guy ---> :cam: even more. I wish we had the broncos on our schedule..

I don't hate The Golden Calf of Bristol like a lot of people, I actually like him and it would be nice if he was a good QB but it seems he isn't and probably won't ever be.

The Golden Calf of Bristol is a perfect H-back (hybrid fullback/tight end) and if he ever wants to be successful in the NFL he'll change positions.

Exactly. He needs to be in a role like Jacob Hester is in San Diego, they use him in a variety of ways.

just something extra the opposing D has to plan for

    • When we drafted Luke, we already had Cam, Smith, Olsen, Stewart, Deangleo, Gross, Kalil, CJ, Hardy, Beason, TD, Gamble (and maybe more I'm forgetting), we had a lot of great pieces in place. Going pure BPA for a player with Luke's potential when the LB you already have is different when you already have all those pieces in place.  Our OL right now is probably in a better shape than that team and our RBs and TE have potential compared to proven vets back then, but after that, the 2012 roster was in a far better shape than we are right now. We need a #1 WR, DEs, LBs, DBs, C, and depending who you ask a QB.  Going BPA at pick #5 when that player is a DT and your current best player on either side of the ball is a DT, seems irresponsible. If he's the only player they like that high left, then you trade back and go with position of more need at a slot that makes sense for the player while adding other picks.  If you trade back and he falls because other teams don't need/want a DT, then you consider him at that point because of the value.
    • This sounds like the same back and forth when we drafted a LB when we already had a LB or as mentioned prior back to back DLs. I want the BPA, if it is another DT so be it. (No not a kicker/punter for those people that think they are funny))
