That should show your dumb @ss that the defense is shotty since we are 14th in the league in giveaways and 28th in the league in takeaways hence the takeaway/giveaway ratio being 22. THE DEFENSE SUCKS!

Drew Brees can win close games! Drew Brees has a better than 7% efficiency in comeback or game winning drives. He can score TD's in the 4th quarter when tied or down by one score. He doesn't turn into a 60.0 QB in those moments. I haven't crunched his numbers, but I promise you if I do, you're not going to see 60.0 QB rating in comeback winning scenarios for Drew Brees. You're not going to see it for freaking Andy Dalton let alone Drew Brees.

The defense may suck by your view, but if they suck then you should know that the offense sucks TWICE as bad in the 4th quarter when the game is tied or we're down by a score which has happened 7 times. Because as bad as you think they are:

this defense:

1. Has given this offense an average of 2 possessions per game and contained the score to either 7 or less points in the 4th quarter so the offense can go do their job and put the game away.

while this offense:

2. Has succeeded that duty at a rate of only 7%, or just 1 out of 14 times, while having twice the chances our opponent's offenses get in that exact situation.

So there is no fuging way the defense can sucks worse than the offense and be blamed more than them when they gave the offense 14 tries to put 7 games away and the offense only was able to come through 1 time.

was I THIS bad about Clausen last season? I didn't like his play and I admit I really focused on him....but please for give me if I was at this level. At least in my defense Clausen was playing like poo....

So what have we learned after 200 plus posts.

1. Cam Newton 8 games into his rookie campaign is not playing yet like a seasoned veteran and has room to improve. Shocking.

2. The offense has cost us a number of 4th quarter drives with penalties and poor execution.

3. We tend to get more conservative when we are tied or have a lead.

4. The defense has often given us poor field position and has surrendered leads late in the game which we have struggled to overcome.

So why will this go on for another 100 posts??? Because instead of seeking agreement on the big issues, we will try and nitpick the inconsequential stuff in an attempt to get the last word and win an argument that has gone from unimportant to now ridiculous.

I can compare rookies to anyone. Everyone's compared Cam Newton to other QB's. Rookies. Vets. Elites.

But the only difference is, I do NOT come to the conclusion that he belongs in that group. Read the title of this thread and look at the people agreeing with it. That's not me doing that. I'm simply pointing out why he doesn't belong.

100% agreed. i haven't read anything he's posted for a couple days now.

it's just a matter of pointing and laughing at him right now. i'll get bored with it soon and then will have him put on ignore and just wait until the inevitable meltdown and then his banning and then 3 different alts to come in and "show us" and then the next troll will come along and do the same thing.
